    Where do you get the delivery order from? Will that be in the DHL packet from the exporter?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад +1

      Great question. The delivery order will come from the port after all your fees have been paid.

      @@2JZAddict I would send a private message for this but I think this may help others. Will the port contact you to tell you what fees you need to pay while the car is waiting the 2 weeks or so for customs? Or will the importer get all this information?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад

      The importer will have all that info regarding fees and will typically receive the delivery order unless you have them email it to you instead. I wanted to pick up my car directly from the port so I had them send the delivery order to me instead of my importer.

    Great content! It was great meeting you at World Cup Finals. I was talking to you and Ryan Scott about your R33. I'd love to import an R33 but I'm not even done my Supra yet. Can't wait for more R33 content.

      Great meeting you too brother! Yeah, it would probably be good to wrap up one project before acquiring another. Lol I did not. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ There will be more 33 vids inbound for sure. I FINALLY got the last piece of the puzzle in for one video I think. There’s a possibility I might need some pins. We’ll see. Hopefully I’ll be able to knock that this weekend before the holiday. 😬🤞

    Not sure if you're still paying attention to the comments, but I need some advice. I followed this series as it's the only one I saw which I fully understood, and purchased my car from auction. Just titled it today, and it seems I'm having some trouble with the auto equity loan side of things. USAA does not offer any, and Navy fed's rates for 37 months + is basically the same if not more than my personal loan.

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 месяца назад +1

      At the time I made this video, auto equity loans were still a viable option. I know a lot of lenders have tapered those considerably due to the number of repossessions rising and interest rates climbing. There are still some local credit unions will still do them but even those are getting difficult to find. If you have the ability, it might be worth doing a 401k loan. I’ll preface this by saying that the terms for a 401k loan will vary wildly depending the type of account, the holding company, amount, and some other factors. However, a lot of times those can be repaid within 5 years without penalty and any interest goes back to you (into your 401k specifically). There are also some life insurance policies that offer a similar option but that would be a question for your financial advisor.

      @2JZAddict thank you for the input. I'll definitely look into this. For the meanwhile, I applied for the scra state benefits and that should, if I get approved, drop the interest all the way down.

    Videos are very informative! I’ll have to rewatch these videos again just to make sure I completely understand. A question I have is concerning about the last video. If I work with Garage Defend, will the process be a lot easier since they’re the exporter? You talked about how you had to deal with more loops when getting your car with GT NET since they don’t particularly like to sell their cars overseas. Do you think Garage Defend make the process that difficult? Hope you hear from you soon!

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад

      If you buy directly from Garage Defend the process is a lot easier and you can get the car a lot faster. All they do is file for the Export Certificate and load it on a boat. I love the guys over at Garage Defend. They make everything so simple! I’d buy from them again in a heartbeat.

    Are all the documents mailed to your home address or are do you pick them up at the port the car was shipped to?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  27 дней назад

      All the documents are mailed to you. You’ll need a few of them to actually pick the car up at the port when it arrives.

    do you need a twic to pick up the car? also can I do an auto loan through navy fed as a vet?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  9 месяцев назад

      You will need a TWIC to pick the car up at the port. If the car is still in Japan when you’re trying to get a loan and you don’t have current orders to be stationed in Japan, Navy Fed won’t finance the car. They’ll want it to be titled state side already for a loan to be issued.

    Quick question, is it possible to somehow have the company who is selling the car reserve it for you till you can wire the money or is that now how it works? Or does it just depend on who has the car?
    I'm new to this so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for any answer

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад

      If the car is already with an exporter they’ll usually take a deposit to hold it. If the car is at another dealership in Japan it’s first person with the cash gets the car.

      @@2JZAddict Thank you.
      I saw this one ad where the dealership said they'll finance (like 1.9% per annum). I'm assuming that's only allowed for people who live in Japan and not people who are overseas?

    What if the car still isn’t legal yet in the states but will soon? Just pay the bigger interest rate until it’s legal and arrives?

    • @2JZAddict
      @2JZAddict  2 года назад +1

      That’s really your only option if your financing it. You can’t get an auto equity loan for a car that hasn’t been titled in the US yet. If you’ve got something that’s already paid off (and of identical value to the outstanding loan balance) you could secure an auto equity loan on that vehicle instead.

    • @BuiltNutritionFitness
      @BuiltNutritionFitness 2 года назад

      That makes sense. I have a paid off 2017 wrx but that’s only worth like 20k. What I want is closer to 50k. Just exploring my options. Thanks for responding!
