I started buying distilled water for my dog when he was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease and cancer. I still have water stations with tap water too because I have 3 dogs and can't afford to do distilled water in all of the water dishes. I noticed recently when I refilled all of the bowls that one of my other dogs who normally would drink the tap water out of one of the other bowls walked up and sniffed the fresh bowl of tap water, and then walked straight to the bowl with the distilled water in it and drank that instead. (!)
I’ve been giving my 14 year-old German Shepherd distilled water for the past 5+ years after vets found crystals in his urinary track. C/D food and distilled water have helped so much, and he has energy. I rarely see him sick.

Not surprised. We have micro plastics in our blood. Anything processed. Better off buying carrots, etc and cooking and processing and freezing them in portions. Feeding little ones the cleanest food possible is best but not always possible. @jreifsnyder2225 I grow in ground, no greenhouse (yet). If I have to, I water with my house water which come from the county. I usually get enough rain that I dont have to water much. Some years not at all. While the rain is always much better for my plants, the county water is pretty clean (excluding the little bit of chlorine/chloramine). I am working on rain catchment for watering which is, IMHO, the best option. Also, "highly filtered" water is not the best for plants (or people) because the essential minerals are no longer present. Plants need that to be healthy, take up other nutrients and produce nutrient dense food. If you're interested in the specific details, research how plants utilize various minerals to feed and grow.

When I was a young girl my mother taught me to rinse my dishes very well and now I know why because dish soap is basically made out of petroleum. So if you don't rinse the dishes well enough and to make sure that all the Slime is gone and with hot water then you place your food on it it's going to absorb the Petroleum in dish soap

I started buying distilled water for my dog when he was diagnosed with early stage kidney disease and cancer. I still have water stations with tap water too because I have 3 dogs and can't afford to do distilled water in all of the water dishes. I noticed recently when I refilled all of the bowls that one of my other dogs who normally would drink the tap water out of one of the other bowls walked up and sniffed the fresh bowl of tap water, and then walked straight to the bowl with the distilled water in it and drank that instead. (!)
I’ve been giving my 14 year-old German Shepherd distilled water for the past 5+ years after vets found crystals in his urinary track. C/D food and distilled water have helped so much, and he has energy. I rarely see him sick.

This is one of the BIG reasons many people, including me, ARE growing our own food. It is also a driver of the homesteading revival.
Everyone should grow what they can or buy from local farms that do not use chemicals on their plants.

@jreifsnyder2225 I grow in ground, no greenhouse (yet). If I have to, I water with my house water which come from the county. I usually get enough rain that I dont have to water much. Some years not at all. While the rain is always much better for my plants, the county water is pretty clean (excluding the little bit of chlorine/chloramine). I am working on rain catchment for watering which is, IMHO, the best option.
Also, "highly filtered" water is not the best for plants (or people) because the essential minerals are no longer present. Plants need that to be healthy, take up other nutrients and produce nutrient dense food. If you're interested in the specific details, research how plants utilize various minerals to feed and grow.
It's safe. Some better stuff to worry about is putting on sunscreen and making sure to get vaccinated.

Not exactly my forte but I remember some chemistry class . . I think it's in certain normal consoomer things want to say especially in the old times industrial revolution era to the 1950s it was in fertilizer or insecticide house paint and probably washed into the soil over decades .. It's certainly not coming out of rockets or goodness knows what . Unless maybe aircraft? and the defense industry certainly isn't causing it

When I was a young girl my mother taught me to rinse my dishes very well and now I know why because dish soap is basically made out of petroleum. So if you don't rinse the dishes well enough and to make sure that all the Slime is gone and with hot water then you place your food on it it's going to absorb the Petroleum in dish soap
Use a plant-based dish soap.
