Adam you're doing me in man! My wife and I live in CA with our 3 boys, but I'm originally from northern AL. These have been some great videos! Thank you ! The tour with the pit master was an enjoyable part.
Thanks to you and Abby for sharing the video of your visit to Bob's! Could almost smell the ribs! Really enjoy seeing the inside of places I'll only ever hear or read about. Great job!
Great video Adam - good to see you and Abby enjoying the culinary delights of the deep South! That loaded potato looked fantastic. Liked those portable barbecue trucks. Thanks for bringing us along! - Mark
It breaks my heart that somebody went to Big Bob’s and got a grilled cheese!😂 I was born and raised in Decatur. Have net lived there in 21 years and I still crave their food!
I’ve known the owners all my life. Some of the finest people you’ll meet. Awesome BBQ. Vinegar slaw is my favorite kind. Cuts through the richness of the meat.
I have probably ate there 50 times or more over the years when I used to work in alabama. I remember when I was younger I think they had a white sauce i used to put on the chicken. Some great eating there at Bob Gibsons. Have fun this weekend with Abby. God Bless!!!
Cool video...just fyi there is a bbq competition May 11 and 12 here in Independence La...Smokin on the tracks..... Thanks for the great videos Adam and Abby...
Cool video Adam, and that is a very famous BBQ joint! I wouldn't mind going there one day myself and checking it out. Pretty cool how they gave you a walk around of the smokers they use. I believe this is the same place that put white BBQ sauce on the map as well.
It's delicious! My favorite items are the stuffed potatoes (I get chicken), Brunswick stew, ribs, and you can't forget the potato salad and Mac n cheese!!! I grew up eating Big Bob's and it beats any other bbq joint around here! I drown my potatoes in the white sauce and vinegar they give you.
Hey Buddy, Wow did your face light up on that first Turkey bite! I gotta say that fork looks like a toothpick in that big ole Abom paw. So great you got to see the pits. Pitmasters love to show off their products and tools. Loved that show on cable. Makes your mouth water. Glad to see Abby got stuff she enjoyed as well.
The food looks good and I have some of their white BBQ sauce I ordered after seeing a show on them about famous BBQ places. Great content and thanks for taking me along!
Very cool Adam. The in the moment type I phone videos are great. It makes it feel more personal like watching one that we did our selves. It kind of make me feel like i was there. The only problem is now i have to go there LOL .
Looks good! When we can travel, i am planning my Southern BBQ Road Trip from my home in Washington DC. I will have to stop over in Decatur AL to try this place! Want to try their pulled pork and try their potato salad, which is something a lot of people make but, to me, very few make Great potato salad. Will post my opinion once I try this place ....
Yes plz come because our southern hospitality is polite and we welcome with open arm and I am from Decatur AL and we have waterpark in Decatur AL it called point mallard it open in 2021 and you have. To bye ticket there something like that but yay it fun place to visit
Damn you Adam ! here is it 12am Tuesday morning in Rural Western Australia and you show some great food to eat my stomach has just started sending massive amounts of saliva to my mouth Im going to have to raid the fridge now or maybe just contend myself with a Peanut butter Samo ! Great video mate ( Hi Abby)
I went to different BBQ places when I was on a stuffed potato kick to try them all. One, when I asked for a large, brought out one the size of a pigskin, maybe make that a medium.
Arrrrg, your killing me. I haven't been to a BBQ in over 40 years. There is nothing like that around where I live, in Marina CA next to Monterey CA close to the Pacific Ocean. Dang that looks good.
Adam I enjoy your videos machining and travels you guys look like you hae a great time together !!! as far as the diet comments I struggle with my weight and diabetes you do what works for you I'm not going to juge anybody stay happy and live along time with Abbey
Adam, When you were pulling the brisket apart, I thought it looked a little dry. Everything else looked great though. Gary 75-Year-Old Home-Shop-Machinist.
Adam, the vinegar based coleslaw is the best. I have my Great grandmothers recipe for it, the slaw would be served on your pull pork sandwich the day of the roast. Then she would take the day old slaw dice some onion up and add some mayonnaises to it and called it "table slaw"......it was the best. She was from North Carolina. Thank you guys for the video. Fourteen years ago I was forced off the job and put onto long term disability, I was 59. I really liked being a mechanic, but I had pushed my weight to 535 pounds. I could not keep up the moderate pace and I was perpetually out of breath.. My waist had grown to 84 inches and I needed two belts and suspenders to hold my huge pants up. I had to make a decision and stick with my weight loss plan. My daily intake was 1500 calories a day and I lost over 200 pounds. I cannot exercise the calories away, so I must eat less. I am hundred pounds away from where I should be at 72 years old. I have suffered joint deterioration and I am not able to stand for very long and I need a walker to so I can stay mobile. I have a modified wheeled chair for the shop. I know you are aware of your situation because you posted a passion filled video of your plans to lose weight and get healthy in 2018. What happened? You questioned me, “You’re here to judge me, why?” As I see this situation, there is more than one reason for what you feel is persecution. You, Adam, did post a detailed video laying out your plans for losing weight, improving your health by eating healthy foods. That BBQ stop did not meet any part of a healthy weight loss plan. The food, while really good tasting, may be OK in much reduced volume. Here is another thing, from my point of view. You have built a very successful You Tube channel that I have been subscribed to from almost the beginning. I like you and I enjoy your shop practices. I have learned so much from watching you. My modus operandi in the shop has changed and I have better results. So, you see, I have time invested in you and I have learned to like and trust you. Your bad food choice disappointed me. I want to have you around and in good health and I want to die before you.
bcbloc02 hey Brian, I was going to ask you for some recommendations on good food around your area, my brother and I are visiting from Australia, we have 9 days around Nashville and Louisville in late July early August, gunna hit some bourbon distilleries for a taste or three. Cheers
Their turkey and chicken are good but I just don’t care for that place. If you’re ever back up here let me know. I live just south of there. I’d go to Cullman and go to Johnny’s bbq. Great video though. You can brisket in the oven better than big bobs. Y’all be safe brother.
Adam you're doing me in man! My wife and I live in CA with our 3 boys, but I'm originally from northern AL. These have been some great videos! Thank you ! The tour with the pit master was an enjoyable part.
Thanks Jeff!

The sauce from the restaurant is so much better than the bottled stuff! Take it from a born and raised local!
Thanks Adam. I liked seeing the pits.. Phone done real good.

Gotta get a pit and make it yourself then!
Come on over to Fresno and go to the bull dog grill pretty good for Central California
Excellent looking plates there.
Would anyone happen to know if the smoker that he was showing at 7:40 is a custom made rotisserie or who makes it?
If you back around Huntsville try their breakfast best biscuits and gravy you’ll ever try
Fun to watch. Thanks!
Looked delicious , looks like good prices as well.

Adam, When you were pulling the brisket apart, I thought it looked a little dry. Everything else looked great though.
Gary 75-Year-Old Home-Shop-Machinist.
I live just north of Decatur. You missed out by not getting the chicken. They are famous for the chicken with the white sauce. Try it next time.
Don't forget about your resolutions ! Make up for the big eats with a round of long walks. The Space Center will be a good long walk, yeah.

It wasn't bad, I'm just not used to it. I think everywhere I have had it it's mayonnaise based.
Who in the hell goes to a world class BBQ joint and gets a grilled cheese
Your in my hometown, their bronswick stew is the best if they still make it.
Man those chicken wings looked good too!
Gotta get the chicken and the Alabama white sauce... good stuff.
Great job!
You got everything accept for the chicken, the one thing they're famous for
I found that funny as well
White sauce!
Those prices look very good.
The problem I have with eating food like that is I have a hard time deciding weather to eat it or just rub it on. :-)
Yummy!! (drool, drool...LOL)
How was it vs dreamland?
I’ve actually never been to Dreamland but want to go try the one in Mobile sometimes soon.
There goes the diet. You may know this was a mistake when the digital read-out on the scale suggests "one at a time. "
Your here to judge me why?

Vinegar based slaw is the best
Looks tasty
The potatoes were massive when I was there in the mid 90's. Awesome food.
Like you, I'm not real keen on the vinegar based slaw, either.
DECATUR!

Jason Steele how timely! I'm traveling near Cullman and Johnny's is closed today. Any other restaurant in Cullman you'd recommend?

Taking a break from your diet? Like me, occasionally you need to take a rest from the diet food to keep motivated to lose weight.
こんにちは(^∇^)
What kinda diet is this? Did not look like see food.
Surely nothing wrong with the food, mm mm mm.
But the quality of the audio throughout the video is horrible.
Kind of spoiled the whole show 😩
My portable mic seems to be on the fritz, it's been in the washing machine a few times.
