Tech YES City 1600mhz? completely stable? Are you sure man? I've heard of people getting 1500 but I can't even get that to be stable with my particular 970 G1 gaming card

My 970 G1 Gaming has the Windforce logo and Windforce cooler on it, too, but I don't think Windforce is technically in the name...it confused me somewhat when I was ordering it as there's 3 'Windforce' versions of that. They should have stuck with Super Overclock or something :p

Man, this card would go PERFECT with my build. It being built around a Fractal Design Define R5 with a custom window. I was originally going to go with a G1 Gaming GTX 960, cause that fit within my budget, along with a 750w Corsair RMI series PSU, AMD FX 8350, MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition, an Enermax ETS T-40 BK and two sets of AVEXIR 2x8GB (One Being Black with the Blue LEDS and the Other White with white LED's. Based off of the selected parts this build was mostly black and white with Blue accents. The white on that GPU with the ability to select white or blue along with a few other colors (even though its NOT RGB) would make my build that much better. Except for the fact that, by the time I have enough money to afford a GTX 980 a new card will be released. Just like when I bought my R5 the Define S was released, but that's cause I bought a little while after its released. :P
Zotac has been quiet interresting this year, they have really stepped up the game with their coolers. If I was going to buy a card today I would consider their new 980ti card, it looks sick!

if it's anything like the 970 and the 960, then the Asus Strix and the MSI Gaming will probably be the best versions in terms of performance because of smartfan and overclocking ability (especially the strix series) while some of the EVGA versions wiull have the highest out of box clockspeed. I doubt we'll need to worry about heat though. Maxwell is still ridiculously efficient and even going full psycho on my 970 and raising voltage to max and going way beyond a stable overclock, 70C was the absolute max.

Does anyone else feel like the coverage of Computex is really weak from linus, paul, kyle and almost every tech youtuber. I've only seen about 3 or 4 videos from them in the two days its been going for. During CES linus was pumping out 4 videos a day. What's going on?

I am at 1440p with the 970 :P... having no problems with any of my current games. Though my 970 goes all the way up to 1600mhz no problems.

i could not resist and got a reference card but i plan to use my H90 AIO cooler with it once Corsair releases their N980 Hydro mount next month
