What a brilliant storyteller. Such a vile world we live with evil predatory pigs keeping the cycle of abuse alive. So much damage. What a survivor!
We have a Paul in our town...yes his name is even Paul! Went to school with him and he was brain damaged in a car accident. He's actually nicer after the accident lol. I am glad he's in our hometown where we all know because it must be so terrible for those lost out there and vulnerable with no community to look after them.

So awkward and self conscious. Took him awhile before he was comfortable doing this.

Although you can see that Rollins put a lot of that stuff away on the shelf.
For example: Sexual assault is a criminal offence, clearly. And a lot of other things that happen to us that are wrong can be offensive even if there's no clear law against them.
But this is not a person who carries fear. He carries a message - it will all be OK. You can handle it.
I was just thinking the major idea of Henry's spoken performance work is empathy, that you have to find empathy for yourself no matter how shitty your deal was or how awful your parents skills were. Give yourself a break, when you develop self-empathy then you start to have better empathy and intelligence with others. Your old scar tissue then does not limit you and make you a creature of your injured past..
