It would be interesting to hear the owner talk about the choice to put that 50 stall rotary in. It’s seems oversized for 800 cows. Maybe big plans to expand in the future though.

They are milking three times a day

Right, but 50 stall rotary should easily be doing 300+ cows an hour. That’s only 9hrs of milking a day. Barely one shift, except split into three.

Hard to imagine labor is so expensive as to justify a parlor almost twice as big as it needs to be.
