  • This is a video blog series about animatronics and electronics for costumers and prop builders. In this first episode I talk about the basics of creating a system diagram for controlling servos, LEDs and sound effects.

In Ironman, when the terrorists are shielding themselves behind civilians in Golmira, you will see Tony make a 'rolling' gesture with just his fingers, arms down by his sides. I would think this was a pre-programmed trigger to kick off the targeting system and shoulder rockets. (My memory allows me to re-watch movie clips in my head)
As you were talking about a bend sensor I was thinking I could bend my little finger multiple times in a two-digit code (1-2-3 pause 1-2 = 32). If you could remember the codes correctly that would allow for a plethora of pre-programmed functions.

do bend sensors have to stay bent for the servo to stay a certain way? Great video as always

+Kickin It It depends on how you use the sensor with your code. You can use it as a trigger for an event (in which case no) or you can use it as an input device where the servo motion tracks the sensor value (in which case yes.)
