Kamala slammed Andre too. The whole angle of Andre never getting slammed before Hogan worked so well.....back then. In todays internet, social media age it could never have happened.
I'VE LEARNED THROUGH HIS STORIES ON YOU TUBE YOU JUST CAN'T BELIEVE KEN AS HIS STORIES CHANGE EVERY TIME HE SAYS THEM. AS FAR AS KEN SAYS ANDRE LOVED JOHN STUDD AND EVERYONE INCLUDING HARLY RACE SAID NO ANDRE DID NOT LIKE JOHN STUDD.
95% of what he says is false. This match is on YT on he slammed Andre with the help of big John. The crowd was loud vs quiet as he says. Too many steroids impacts your memory.
I think i know which shoot you're talking about, but it's not this one. He's sober here and very articulate (for Patera standards). That one you're talking took place 3 or 4 years after this and he was really drunk lol.
I've heard other wrestlers say that even though Studd respected Andre, Andre didn't like Studd because John would step other the top rope when entering the ring and Andre thought that was "his thing". If so, very selfish and foolish on Andre's part. Better matches if the fans think Andre's opponent has a realistic chance of beating him. John had the "true giant" line in his promos and wanted it to look like he was a real threat. Just playing the heel and trying to generate interest.
Ken might have been the strongest wrestler ever even stronger than Mark Henry who did not break any of Ken's records for the Olympics , and if he was in his Olympic shape for the W.S.C when Bill Kazimer won it , if Ken was in his Olympic form he may have won , and he was hurt.
"I could have been the main event in Montreal for the next 20 years"? Yeah um.... I think Bret and Shawn might have something to say about that actually....
Yeah I was thinking as well there is no drug these days that can make you taller once you have reached your maximum adult height I doubt there was any back in the 70's / 80's - yeah sure make you larger in mass NOT in height he is talking shit
This story from Ken is nearly totally made up malarkey. The only thing he said that I'm pretty sure is true is his definition of a midget. 😂 There aren't many other facts in the whole 5 minutes.
@@SovereignStatesman yes HGH can make your head get bigger but its not going to get 3in bigger in diameter. which would make you 3inchs taller. they said Sammy Sosa went up a bunch of hat sizes when he was taking all that shit trying to break the homerun record
Grows everything but your brain and eyes bones spine barely but tendons and ligaments grow lot's which is why you would get inch inch and a half taller probably exaggerated studs height a bit.
Yes it can, not because it makes the bones grow longer since the platelets become fused together by 19 or 20 yrs of age. It actually can mimic the effects of Acromegaly causing the body to continue to get larger in any way, such as hands, feet & chest getting larger, as well as the cranium. If Studd took enough HGH & steroids it's very possible he became approx 2 inches taller & weighed that much more. Which is exactly what happened if you go through '84 to '89. Yeah he got notably bigger, but still couldn't equal the size of Andre. RIP to both men. PEACE!

September 1, 1972
The match is on RUclips.
I travelled back in time to 1971 to bodyslam Andre the Giant for the first time.
HGH does not make you grow taller once you've already reached your maximum height just look at bodybuilders
Lol yeah I was thinking that too when he said he grew in height from taking HGH...like what, that doesn't happen once puberty is over.
And he said he was the first one to body slam andre. I dunno, could be true, but guy sounds like a pathological liar.
Ken Patera is full of shit ,he is liar and shitty worker "beat me like a red headed step-son"
He looked great after the haircut
I wonder if Ken is related to Tommy Karate 🤔
Karl Gotch suplexed Andre legit way before this.
I would have like to have known how his elite weightlifting background helped him with bodyslamming Andre the Giant. What was that like and is it true Hulk tore a lat slamming Andre at Wrestlemania 3?
Looks like a 6th grade science teacher.
😂😂😂 Duzn't sound lyk 1 tho!!!
Back in that time, they couldn't produce HGH in a lab. They had to extract it from corpses, and I'm not kidding.
Studd was never taller than 6'8"! Hogan at 6'7" (Or a little under) was only an inch shorter than the billed 6'10" Studd.
Kamala slammed Andre too. The whole angle of Andre never getting slammed before Hogan worked so well.....back then. In todays internet, social media age it could never have happened.
Yeah. Kamala slammed him in Mid South
He seems like such a bitter person.
Seems like a dweeb.
95% of what he says is false. This match is on YT on he slammed Andre with the help of big John. The crowd was loud vs quiet as he says. Too many steroids impacts your memory.
Is this the same shoot interview where at the end of it Patera is a shit load of beers in and just loud and obnoxious?
I think i know which shoot you're talking about, but it's not this one. He's sober here and very articulate (for Patera standards). That one you're talking took place 3 or 4 years after this and he was really drunk lol.
@@AndreGNSEntertainment lol hes brilliant with the drink in him, I wish there were more shoot interviews of Patera.
Yea, the video where he's drunk is the RF inteview in 2008, i think there's some clips on RUclips. And there's a Ric Flair podcast with him too.
No, this one he's pretty coherent. A much better shoot.
Patera acts like he wasn’t juicing too!
Ken Patera looking like Walter White... probably on blue meth too!😅
You wouldn't gain height from HGH as an adult. The ends of the bones fuse when you're young, and don't grow longer anymore.
So wrestling is fake?
Don Leo Jonathan beat the Stink Giant Legit 1,2,3 in Montreal ..and SLAMMED HIM
Recognizing nothing is wrestling is legit
@@nomikes4392 Spot on especially a giant being 7'4
To hear that studd idolized andre....
John Studd was NEVER in his career 6'11". Andre in reality was only 7' and Studd was never within more than 2" of Andre. He was more like 6'9"
Wrestlers are always full of shit
@Big pimpin lol
I’d say they were closer to the size of Rey Mysterious.
Caw Caw
Yeah I was thinking as well there is no drug these days that can make you taller once you have reached your maximum adult height I doubt there was any back in the 70's / 80's - yeah sure make you larger in mass NOT in height he is talking shit
John Studd took, as an adult, human growth hormone and grew from 6'8 to 6'11??!
Crazy - never heard that one before
Bullshit
That's a total work..he was never that tall..6.7 at most!
@@shanetutt518 6'10 Legit
@@CP-kb1du maybe in 3inch.lifts..lol
I guess Ken forgot about Harley Race slamming Andre years before he did
This story from Ken is nearly totally made up malarkey. The only thing he said that I'm pretty sure is true is his definition of a midget. 😂 There aren't many other facts in the whole 5 minutes.
Ken's career came to an end after Dino Bravo defeated him with the side slam.
Kinda creepy the way he says...."Soooo fuckinnn hotttt"....Yikes!
It doesn't make you grow in height as an adult after the growth plates in your bones have fused
People said that only Studd's HEAD got bigger-- which HGH can DEFINITELY do; look at Andre.
@@SovereignStatesman yes HGH can make your head get bigger but its not going to get 3in bigger in diameter. which would make you 3inchs taller. they said Sammy Sosa went up a bunch of hat sizes when he was taking all that shit trying to break the homerun record
@@darrenporsch he also turned white
@@beyondbeleef1013 he turned white cuz he also goes through this skin bleaching process.
@@darrenporsch yea I know was just joking
all this "who slammed him first?"... it's a work guys
Steroids make you taller? I'm 5'6 - I should have taken them!
Didn't know they stacked shit that high.
Honestly i believe Harley Race bodyslammed Andre before anyone, including Patera
Butcher Vachon Body slammed Andre in Chicago in 72,long before Ken Was wrestling
GROWTH HORMONE only makes you grow in height when you're a child , NOT AS AN ADULT
A legit 6'9" Ernie Ladd towered over Big John Studd.
And Andre towered over Lad by 3 inches. Go look at the tapes
I don’t think HGH make your spine grow and bones lengthen. This guy fell on his head too much.
it doesn't make you taller lol, you are correct.
Grows everything but your brain and eyes bones spine barely but tendons and ligaments grow lot's which is why you would get inch inch and a half taller probably exaggerated studs height a bit.
Yea I don't think HGH makes adults taller
If you develop a tumor from overuse it’s possible
Yes it can, not because it makes the bones grow longer since the platelets become fused together by 19 or 20 yrs of age. It actually can mimic the effects of Acromegaly causing the body to continue to get larger in any way, such as hands, feet & chest getting larger, as well as the cranium. If Studd took enough HGH & steroids it's very possible he became approx 2 inches taller & weighed that much more. Which is exactly what happened if you go through '84 to '89. Yeah he got notably bigger, but still couldn't equal the size of Andre. RIP to both men. PEACE!
I'm gonna rub it on my wiener.
Yes it can
Look at before and after photos of Rich Pianna and tell me it doesn’t make you taller
Listening to him breathe if he gets COVID-19 he’s a goner for sure
@TheVoiceOfTruth why worry about Corona if you can drink disinfectant to get rid of it! You believe anything Trump tell you!! Lol
@Badass Frank Henry Yes, thanks to voter suppression and foreign interference.
@TheVoiceOfTruth Well one thing's for sure, Covid-19 has killed 27% fewer people than seasonal flu.
@TheVoiceOfTruth you sir are a moron
@TheVoiceOfTruth wrestling isn't fake asshole
Harley Race was the first man to body slam Andre in Atlanta
Not hardly unless you mean the first body slam IN ATLANTA. That could be true. But he was slammed many times before Harley
@@nomikes4392
Probably so
I am.not aware of it
@@mauriceatwell5939 The internet is your friend. Schmunck below mentioned Butcher Vachon. That tape is around. They casually exchange body slams as any two wrestlers would do.
Now there’s a guy who wouldn’t know the meaning of the word humble. Pffft
Yep, his "heel" act, WASN'T AN ACT.
He REALLY WAS AN ASSHOLE.
Yep. Liked him for being himself
@Gene Bone By being a bully an an asshole.
In Illinois one night, a McDonald's wouldn't sell him some food since they were closed, and so he chucked a 350-lb decorative masonry-boulder through the window, and he gave his NAME as he drove off. Then a couple of cops came out to investigate the report at his hotel, and he bounced them off the walls for a while, breaking bones and teeth, until about 27 more cops came out and finally arrested him.
@Gene Bone Mark Henry could wipe his ass with Patera in terms of strength, and he was never like that.
In fairness this was when he had a drinking problem. He's mellowed in his old age.
kayfabe x 100
Even though Ken is stronger then Hogan The Giant was lighter when Ken Slammed him and much larger almost a 100 pounds bigger when Hogan did at WM3
Why would John Studd need growth hormones
It's bullshit. Especially him growing 3 inches.
@@lardy70s yup
Egg-zactly.
If Studd was 6'11 plus he would have been taller than Andre who was 6'10 tops
Andre's peak height was 7'0
@@AndreGNSEntertainment If so that would have been Andre around 1972-1974, definitely not the 1984/85 timeframe Patera is referring to. I would still say he was 6'10 or so because he was barely an inch taller than Ernie Ladd who was 6'9 ( legit)
andre was way taller then 6'10 lol
Andre the giant was 7 ft 4 in 520 lbs
He was billed at 7'4 and 520 lbs but his real peak height was 7'0
Patera is awesome. Love the F bombs
I just watched the match he's talking about and he didn't slam Andre. It was a double slam with Studd. Funny how these guys embellish and change details. I guess it's no surprise since that's what wrestling is all about. ruclips.net/video/H7XJ2-hKy60/видео.html
He was talking about another singles match where he slammed him. Not the haircut match.
@@SuperCanefan26 I see that now when I watch it again.
