Mr. Hughes on working with Junkyard Dog
Every job is the same. My old company did 'random' drug tests. A senior in my team at the time made my bones about saying he wanted certain people he knew to come in the team but there was no space. Then myself and the guy sat behind me were called for 3 'random' drug tests very quickly one after the other. Luckily, neither of us did drugs, but it was obvious that we had been stooged by the senior guy to free up space for his people. Randomly, 3 times, two guys sat next to eachother, out of a workforce of around 5000 at that facility. I hate stooges. Always out for themselves. A coincidence maybe, but the second and third times made it a little bit too obvious what was going on. I got other things thrown at me by this guy that weren't true either. I ended up leaving and the other guy moved teams. It was toxic. We had several stooges in that team. Ambitious, but couldn't make it via their work alone.
That must have added another 50 to 100 pounds to his weight for that match.
LOVE THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR !!
Warrior's contemporaries were shitting on him but now we know Warrior spoke the truth all along.
3:14 Pipper was a racist.
Fucked up the interviewer was laughing at this traumatizing event
Chris Matthews said he got "chills up his leg" about George Bush, actually.
Vince is very cold all about business. In ways you have to be. Shawn wasn't a draw. Neither was bret. Did they change the game on putting more realustic great matches? Yes. But austin came in and was hot. When you make vince $$ ur priority. Austin said the same. During attitude, austin can call vince anytime if the day in a half a ring vince answered no matter what he was doing. Later on in years austin had to leave messages and vince took sometimes almost a week to get back to him. Vince also knew letting shawn go to wcw wpuld be really bad. Kevin sullivan wanted him really bad and wanted him to have creative control on his matches as sullivan said "wat do you tell a guy that has the best matches?" Shawn was the talent vince needed to keep even if it was on the sidelines
This didn’t age well.
Ken might have been the strongest wrestler ever even stronger than Mark Henry who did not break any of Ken's records for the Olympics , and if he was in his Olympic shape for the W.S.C when Bill Kazimer won it , if Ken was in his Olympic form he may have won , and he was hurt.
He ruined WCW
Wasn’t he Y2J’s bodyguard when Y2J went to the WWE and made his Raw is War debut in 1999
Jim Cornett is such a clown he wishes he was a wrestler so bad I could never stand him
Where's the most replayed bar?
Dude guessed Doug Furnas 😂
Im not sure if Andre actually liked him...
"Brett screwed brett........and he can look into the mir-raaahhhh" -segways to teddy long for some reason
Man hunter is one smart dude. The guy outperformed the entire kliq members by legacy and position, and did the same thing to vince and has run him out of the business entirely
Gosh, I know, the guy is dead and all, but gosh...these words...what a no-good prick, such an asshole.
This is just sad
The greatest strength of the interviewer was to be patient and allow the warrior to speak. The warrior definitely seemed annoyed to be asked so many questions about a single event, but he maintained his patience and gave good responses. I consider Warrior one of the smartest people in wrestling. I really enjoy his ability to speak philosophically and with authority.
Using jealousy and guilt trips as a let out for your insecurities and shortcomings wasn't healthy for Warrior at the time
Vince RussBro
Warrior was a miserable human being imo.
The amount of times this happens to Roddy is sick, hope he’s doing better
This always breaks my heart. Even crazier that Bruce Prichard was a personal friend of Roddy and still dismisses any claims of Pat’s misconduct as some type of homophobia. Gay men can be predators just as easy as straight men can.
It's not your fault Roddy
I remember his death being announced in the Indianapolis news paper in 1991 and it was also on the local news stations. It was a big deal because he was from Crawfordsville Indiana. But then he dies again in 2014 !!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Jesse Ventura makes a lot of good points. He speaks truth. Ken Patera sounds rather arrogant.
I don't believe Andre liked him and I don't believe Warrior was respectful to anyone
He’s a verbal Assassin.
Oh man did warrior ever have an edge to him in this interview .. I’d be scared to ask questions. 😂
They should give him a live mic on RAW 😅
I adore how all those nerds are flabbergasting over this, like "why would you do that to your company?!" Wow, to an entire company, you say? Do what? McMahon wasn't turning Warrior into Rooster. And it's not the end of the world - Eugene, Marella, Otis had/have a good payday doing comedy bits. Taylor himself understood it eventually, says he should've put more heart into that role.
Having guys like him backstage is what really killed WCW.
Piper was a good man. PATTERSON was a typical french pervert.
Between the alcohol and the steak, how much was the bill? I would of been scared shitless that with every punch I'd shit myself in the ring
"I brought him to a gym where you could train"..... As if a gym wasn't specifically created for something that isn't training..... Hmmmm come to think about it, Pat probably went to the kind of gym that wasn't about training, it probably wasn't even a gym, a "gym" was probably a code word for "bum love venue"..😂😂😂 I saw that legends house clip where he "came out" and broke down crying as if he's carried this burden for a long time of being gay and hiding it from everyone because he was too ashamed to admit it.... The look on everyone's face was not one of surprise, I think they were more embarrassed for him because the entire world knew he was a fudge packer, especially after the Donahue episode where the "ring boy" scandal was made public. He might have been something special behind the scenes but to many people he was an abusive predator, I've seen to many shoots where he was mentioned, that in order to get a push they would have to allow him to push his fudge up their dirt road... Roddy pipers shoot with kayfabe commentary was quite disturbing. It makes watching this very difficult and almost impossible to have any sympathy whatsoever for him. He abused his position and for that I only hope those who suffered find peace of mind and we're able to not allow it to destroy them, knowing how many people had careers killed off because they refused his advances makes me seriously dislike him.
I cant trust a word this guy says.
Shane , eddie, benoit, all drew 10x more than mike ever did.
Damn that is so depressing especially to see a performer who gave such energy to the business. Rot in hell Pat and I hope you save a seat for your buddy Jim Cornette.
Bro gay , still stayed with him😂😂😂
The first to slam Andre. Lol ok
This guy should have been arrested and the WWF looked the other way until someone came forward. I remember going to a WWF spot show in the early 80’s at a small high school gym and talking to Danny Davis. He was working as a referee and tearing down the ring after the show. I was a little kid so I was a mark and I was asking about all the big matches he refereed, lol. He said he was the referee for Andre and Big John Stud in Rochester, NY a day or so earlier. Then he just ignored me. I’m glad old Mel Philips wasn’t around, what a creep. I can’t imagine he didn’t mess some of these kids up really bad. Look at how the Menendez brothers turn out…
We have a union now at my job. Paying 600 a year in dues and they don't do shit
Wow. Thats Gotch Gracie. Hes a legendary shoot fighter.
You hugged Vince too Jim!
1:42 "I don't want her on the pirate ship at all" So I can cheat on her with impunity is the other half of that sentence
Is Shawn Michaels is the only one that could have said that to Vince that mean that's exactly what they were doing
Vader should have handled his business with the boy toy
Thank you. Good lord I wish Vader would have taken the necessary liberties with Shawn.
@jonbourgoin182 indeed
