Hi Christy You make some awesome videos. Do you still have your sign? Have you experienced any issues with warping or expansion with the MDF backboard?
Hi! I do still have the sign and it doesn’t seem to be warped but mdf will warp in humidity or if it’s gets wet. I have changed from mdf to using luan board and like it much better.👍🏻 Thank you!!
Hi there, I'm enjoying your wonderful videos :) Do you find that the vinyl will stay stuck onto the wood board? I have actually found that after you paint, stain and distress the board and before you add your vinyl that will be a permanent fixture and not used as a stencil, that if you do a coat or two of polycrylic "the water based stuff" and let it dry , then add the vinyl I always have better luck with it going on and staying on much better...I sometimes also will add a coat on top when completed, vinyl and all for extra protection. I use the satin so it doesn't get glossy...another benefit is if your using natural or stained wood it will bring out the pretty grain. PLUS if you are using the vinyl as a stencil this will take care of the paint peeling off when removing the vinyl Just thought I would share this little tip :) If it were just for me I wouldn't so much worry about it but if I sell them I do ...another tip is if you are using the vinyl as a stencil is to use the same color of paint that you used for the background and dab it in the stencil and then after it dries do your paint color you are wanting to use and this really helps with bleeding, some use mod podge instead of the background color but I've never tried it but I always do it with the paint.... Most of these tips I have learned by watching other youtube channels throughout the years:) ...Keep up the good work !!!
Thanks so much! Great tips I just filmed a video and tried the same color on stencil first technique to reduce bleed and it does help. Ive seen it done in other videos too. Definitely will try the other techniques. I have used polycrilic and modge podge to seal. . really like the modge podge spray. Thank you for your comment!
Hi! I am using a Stanley Heavy Duty Staple Gun and I think I used 9/16" staples. The frame pieces are 24" long (top and bottom) and 31.75" long for the sides.
Our God is so Mighty! Absolutely, love this sign!
Thank you so much! Me too it's one of my favorites.

What wood did you use for the framing? x
Hi! I use pine 1x2’s or furring strips for most frames. The furring strips are less expensive but 1x2’s look better.👍🏻
Just Great!
Hi thanks for the tutorial
what nailer are you using ? Also what size is the frame I didnt catch that. I want to make one to above my tv.

Just found your channel! Love your videos 😀 What font did you use for this awesome sign?
Hey Karen! Thanks so much I'm so glad you like these videos! The font I used on this sign is called Autumn in November one of my favorites.
Does the Explore Air 2, cut stencils better than the Cricut Maker?
They cut almost exactly the same as far as stencils. The Maker can cut more types of materials.
What is the name of the vinyl that you used
Hi. I think it was called Styletech adhesive vinyl in matte black. It came from Amazon.
@@AppalachianHomeCo thank you
What font is this?
Hi. It is called Autumn in November.
