  • In this video I walk through my editing workflow in LIGHTROOM and give SEVEN tips that may improve your own workflow to get better results. I have just returned from St Ives in Cornwall and, along with sharing some other images I took, I edit a couple of pictures from start to finish.
If you would like a print of any photo that appears in one of my videos, please email keith@keithmasonphotography.com with a screenshot of the image you would like, and the size you would like (A4, 8 x 10, 6 x 9 = £30). These prints are signed but not numbered. Thanks for your support :)

Great images and editing. For me the best tip was use your phone to capture a reference photo.
BTW, the Cambridge video was great. Fuji just captures early morning light /fog well.

Brilliant. I’m pleased that tip made sense. And I’m really pleased you like the Cambridge images. The Fuji really rendered that early misty light well.

I don't use LR (an open source editor called ART instead) but these are excellent tips and apply across the board. One thing I sometimes do with reflections on still water is to drop the shadows of the water, but leave the mids and highlights alone. That seems to deepen the reflections and often they appear to very nicely 'float' on the water. Plus it guarantees they're darker than the "reflectees". Great images as well!

Thanks! That sounds like a top tip - I’ll definitely give it a try out. Cheers, Keith
