@@spendingtimetogether8428 I read awhile back that the reason the baby sister ("Chrissy", played by 7 year old Ashley Johnson) was added to the cast was because Jeremy Miller ("Ben") was 12 years old by then & had passed the "cuteness" stage. The producers needed to maintain a character with "cuteness", so they added another child to the cast. Basically the same thing was done on "The Cosby Show". The young actress who played 'Rudy' (Keshia Knight Pulliam) was almost 11 years old when 'Olivia' (daughter of Denise's husband Martin, played by 4 year old Raven-Symone) was added to the cast, because 'Rudy' was growing out of the "cuteness" stage. Also, back in the 1970's on "The Brady Bunch", the youngest daughter ("Cindy", played by Susan Olsen), so they added younger cousin 'Oliver'. Those are the 2 examples (of several) that I can think of at the moment.
