    I think I need to hear a revolve in-the-flesh, because from where I'm sitting (and I'm wearing quality headphones) the Mini II sounded better on most tracks. I love the idea of omni-directional sound though, the revolve is an interesting design.

      @benozzy003 4 года назад

      Welk all the sound is deflecting off the bottom of the speaker so it definitely loses some quality but it's better for sitting in a living room and listening with friends and family the mini is better for parties

    Thanks Toni for the comparison! Could you take a picture of the setup - where the microphone was and how far? Actually in this setup - I suspect some would still like the soundlink Mini 2's Highs. In axis - I do think the Mini 2 is not that bad.
    btw your high quality binaural is so good that it recorded some table vibration for the first song >< ( 1:21 is one place..) Great review!

      Jordanlah you're welcome;)
      Usually Iam about 60cm away, some time ago I put pictures in but then I always I always forgot to do it.
      Yes, I think the microphones have been one of the best if not the best investment for this channel.

    nice comparison Toni. Why don't you make a SL mini 2 - jbl flip 4 comparison, expecially at low volumes? It will be obvious who the winner will be, but i think that also the Bose stil has some charts to play. ps: I had it and now have the jbl

    Speaker Toni, hello you portable speaker would recommend me buy, I want potability and sound quality, between the bose soundlink revolve, bose soundlink mini, the UE wonderboom, JBL charge 3, b & o play A1, which is better, all of them are available in my country, please I would like your recommendation.

  • @Alex.Gavrilovici
    @Alex.Gavrilovici 7 лет назад +17

    Well, if you are looking for:
    1. A great sound quality buy B&O
    2. Not enough money for B&O, but still looking for quality and bass, buy BOSE.
    3. If you are superactive, buy UE.
    4. Are you a kid? JBL or Beats is a perfect toy for you. (:

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад +1

      Alexandru Gavrilovici A: there are even better ones like Vifa products
      B: The Bose is actually more expensive and worse sounding than the A1
      C: You should never buy UE
      D: JBL makes one of the best speakers on the market right now so it's no toy at all

    • @Alex.Gavrilovici
      @Alex.Gavrilovici 7 лет назад +2

      Speaker Toni 1. I didn't say B&O is the best sound quality it's just great, and i'm right.
      2. I meant, not just single A1 but all the B&O products are more expensive than BOSE products.
      3. JBL one of the best ? Not sure

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад

      Alexandru Gavrilovici haha of course. JBL is right up there.
      Didn't you hear it in any comparison?

    • @Alex.Gavrilovici
      @Alex.Gavrilovici 7 лет назад +2

      Speaker Toni Yes I did ) good product ! ..and looks like a toy (;

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад

      Alexandru Gavrilovici Not really.
      Ue's or some cheap China speakers look like toys. But at the end it's just subjective.

    Just a suggestion. If you want to compare then play classical music. Classical music has more dynamic range than any other form of music. It pushes the speakers to its limit

    Hi Toni, another great video, but I am still waiting for the comparisson between the revolve+ and the Vifa. Please I need your comparison to decide wich may I buy. And thank you for your efforts with the lenguage!!!

    • @OttosAudio
      @OttosAudio 7 лет назад

      Jose Ramón García The Revolve+ is very good, but no comparison agains the Vifa. The Vifa is bigger, heavier, more expensive, and simply sounds a lot better. Of course I havn't had them side to side yet, but I've heard both multiple times, and I'm pretty confident saying this. Lets see what Speaker Toni has to say.

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад +1

      Otto's Audio I can only agree with you.
      The revolve+ might be a good daily speaker but when it comes to sound any Vifa product will wipe the floor with it.

      ended up ordering a SONY SRS X99 for about $500 after watching/listening to your and clavinetjunkie's testings in last couple of days. Hope I made the right choice though.

    Thanks man :) I saw your video maybe 6 times, even with closed eyes, trying to feel the difference. I used 3 different pairs of good headphones. I just can say or your record doesn't make justice or sometimes mini 2 sounds better than the revolve. I agree with you in many aspects (mini 2 treble is strange too) but I think the biggest problem is that you hate que mini 2 bass, but overall it isn't so bad like you say.
    Don't you agree?
    I think that the issues are balanced and it's difficult to decide which one is better

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад

      jc ca the revolve was way more under control and sounded more advanced.
      The SL mini didn't perform that bad indeed but when comparing it against a JBL you can forget it and that's why I "hate" it.

    • @dkimmortal
      @dkimmortal 7 лет назад

      Which JBL? the Charge series? or the FLIP?

  • @hasandiktas
    @hasandiktas 7 лет назад

    So interesting that I have to agree with some of the people who commented here. Highs on the sl mini seems to be much brighter. Something wrong with the recording?? Besides that revolve distorts after 6:49 while playing the jazz track. Anyway don't like both especially the design of the revolve. It reminds me a thermos. I prefer B&O a1 any day to Bose revolve.

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад

      Ha D no no, the recording is just fine.
      The problem is that the SL mini was recorded on axis, just turn it off axis a little bit and it'll suddenly sound more covered.

    • @hasandiktas
      @hasandiktas 7 лет назад

      Speaker Toni in the jazz and Christmas track there's distortion at the revolve. Did you notice that?

  • @jliao3100

    why the mini2 sound to have more stereo?? is that correct?

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад

      Jiafeng Liao the revolve is a mono speaker that's why the sl mini 2 has more stereo

    • @jliao3100
      @jliao3100 7 лет назад

      prime day, you know, it's hard to decide whether to buy a mini 2 lol

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  7 лет назад +1

      Jiafeng Liao here in Germany the prime day is over already. I got an Alexa Dot together with the Philips Hue starter kit:)
      If you want a great speaker for that money look out for a B&O A1 or JBL Flip 4.

  • @2hourtherapy943

    I have both, returning the revolve, the mini 2 is way more better in sound quality and is much more clean. The mic in this video is not good for the test. Sorry its the truth.

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  6 лет назад

      2HourTherapy yea sure it’s just a crappy 950$, calibrated professional microphone from DPA.
      Just buy the shitty Sl mini 2 and be happy with it.
      And btw get your ears checked.

    • @2hourtherapy943
      @2hourtherapy943 6 лет назад +3

      Check your mic settings or something, I got my ears checked, now its your turns to check your ears. BTW, expensive mic means nothing if not used correctly.

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  6 лет назад

      2HourTherapy I got my ears checked today as well.
      After my recordings I always listen to the speakers in real life to check if the recordings are accurate, and they are.
      So did you ever think about the fact that you just like the Sl mini 2 more and that it’s your personal opinion?

    • @2hourtherapy943
      @2hourtherapy943 6 лет назад +1

      I would agree with you for the music before 8:24 but after that something went wrong, its not the same quality, if you don't agree then its personal opinion, can't say more.

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  6 лет назад

      2HourTherapy that was on maximum volume.
      Both sound bad on max, I agree with that

    Horrendous music selection. Basically noise. Some songs female vocals would have been nice. If you actually listen to music (rather than noise), the SoundLink Mini 2 sounds way better than the Revolve (which lacks a lot of detail).
