Privacy film is what you need for the living room windows. They even have cool patterns etc that way you can still get the natural light but no one can see you

@@AngelicaNyqvist😂 I think they do have a film for windows that you can see out through, but people can’t see in through, if that makes sense. I wouldn’t use it, but they have it, I believe. I think they have blinds that can open from the top down, so you have privacy when needed, but light comes in top part of window.
Look up mirror film for windows, you can see out, but it is a mirror for outsiders when it's daytime

@@AngelicaNyqvistthere is film that you can see out but cannot see inside…and you can choose the level of tint. I like it for UV protection for my furniture. It works great as well as help reduce the heat

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!! It came out beautiful :) Something you may want to consider for the bay window is using One-Way privacy window film. I use it on My windows, and it works great! you can see out and light can shine in, but it's a mirror from the outside looking in. There's also frosted window film, which allows even more light, but then it's frosted looking out, too. Hope that helps!!
Reflective film for the windows will turn the windows into a mirror for outsiders if it's bright out

You must love all the natural light in your filming room! And having the pool so close 😉 The flooring change 👍🏼 how is the backyard? Room for some plants, BBQ and some loungers? Do homes in Texas have basements? Lol I saw the canopy bed and my first thought was it's a great way to hang clothes when putting looks together 😃 congrats, it looks great!
The person who owned that house before had a knack for colours that I will always be impressed by. As a non-colourful person, I was a bit shocked by the choices. To each their own, but I want to know how they decorated. I’m intrigued because I wouldn’t know what to do.

For the windows, you can get some blinds that can go from bottom upwards. that way you can control how much the people can see from the outside 😁

Angie and Ricardo - you guys did a very nice job renovating and decorating ;)
I'm actually a professional in the field of Interiors, solid job, compared to the old look of the house after purchase.
Ricardo would be happy to hear - black walls are great and they do make sense. I usually paint a feature wall for the TV to give it a better viewing experience (your own mini movie theatre). One tip for your space - don't go with black paint, go for wall covering in dark grey or dark indigo blue, no pattern just uniform weave or sisal print (you would get a nice background with texture and the TV would look more a part of the wall).
In your Dining space, Angie refers to a "nook" - that could use a console for plates, and glasses - the good thing is if you get something with a width of 2 FT(~60cm), you will get enough space inside for storage (or you could have extra snacks space close by the Living Rm with TV). The countertop from the console also can be turned into the Bar (this way the alcohol bottles, right of TV would find a better home).
Overall good job!! ;)
Small tip for next time...downstairs will look larger, if you avoid color.
The French grey is nice and it makes it look "homey", warm greys have a tendency to make the space look "aged", like an Italian house with old plaster or frescos. Cool greys or off-whites, in lighter tones will make the space look fresh & larger ;)
Also - if you a fan of saturated colors, do NOT paint the whole room, one wall - "feature" wall is more than enough!!
Thank you! I actually hate both accent walls and grey walls so I will let somebody else have that, but it's always exciting to hear what other people think :D And we don't care too much about making it look spacious, we will probably paint our forever home much darker hehe

Feature walls these days are NOT painted - wallpapers (even 3D-once) or clad in porcelain slabs or funky tiles. You can have a ton of fun with it, but You're right it has to be catered to the "owner" of the house, their mood, job, and what the space is used for!!

Angie is a big lover of colors, and I do think between her choices and Ricardo they did very well!! It's their home, home is for comfort & a place to relax - green in interior psychology of color does exactly that!
