I haven't purchased alka-seltzer lately, but it seems to be a rather expensive cleaning product...vinegar or baking soda might do the same. overall good tips. . . thanks.
Just did it with tea stains on mugs. Works wonders. I discovered that you can transfer from one cup to another or tip it down the toilet bowl to save wasting too many tablets.
Great hanger hacks! Because Alka Seltzer is a bit pricy ($6.99 for 36 tablets at my local Jewels), I prefer to use Polident Denture Tablets ($8.49 for 120 tablets). It does the same job but for a whole lot less. Just thought you'd wanna know. I really enjoy your videos. Keep 'em commin'! PEACE
Turning a hanger into a paper towel dispenser is something my mom taught us decades ago! I can't help wondering where she learned it, but it's been a favorite hack of mine since I was a child. The rest of these are pretty great, too!
Another way to save space is to put a can tab over the hook of a hanger and then slide another hanger hook through the other can tab hole. You can use more tabs to “waterfall” as many hangers as you would like.
I think she owns stock in Alka-Seltzer! Some of those cleaning tasks are cleaned just as well with regular dishwashing soap, which she uses after the Alka-Seltzer soaking anyway. Another cleaning hack is to make a squirt-bottle of mostly water and just a 1/4 cup of bleach. Particularly good for stain removal. Leaves a bleachy clean smell but not that bad. MUCH, MUCH cheaper than all those Alka-Seltzer tablets. I don't mean to cast a bad shadow. A lot of those usages, particularly the coat-hanger ones were great.
Loved the hanger tips and will use some of them. But Alka Seltzer is way too expensive for my budget to use that lavishly. Oh - just read the following tip and saw that denture tablets will work. Thanks to you for your video - and to her!
I guess I will add my 2c...I use my skirt hangers (the ones with clips as you showed) to hold my recipes. I put the hanging (top part of hanger) through one of my cupboard door handles and 'scoot' the clips closer or farther apart, depending on the recipe card/sheet that I am working from. JudyK/IA
Some of these were a little funny, like a magazine flopped over a plastic clothes hanger on the bathroom wall instead of a 🧺 basket or rack. Imagine going into a house and seeing hangers deployed all over the place, like holding bunches of bananas in the kitchen, a selection of magazines in the bathroom 🚽, holding up art in the living room, tools hanging up on a coat rack in the garage, shoes in the hallway, etc...
denture cleaning tablets are made mostly of the same ingredients and cost a lot less. Bleach water for your stained cups is what's used in restaurants and it sanitizes the crazing. Distilled vinegar is dirt cheap. Alka Seltzer is more pricey
Storing your paper towels on hangars - now that's what I call a brilliant use of space. Using a hangar to store a reading list in the bathroom - that's pretty darned good as well.
@@MrRKWRIGHT-- Works well enough and is super convenient in a workshop or garage, also prevents the roll from... rolling around or falling on the floor and getting lost or somehow getting soiled, as often happens in a workshop.. Love it.
@@SlipshottI thought that as well. Surly it’s not strong enough for you to pull a sheet off. I noticed that she didn’t show us her pulling a sheet off, she had one resting on the top of the roll.

the hanger ideas are really smart. I would get frustrated when my pants would slip off pants hanger, I tried a few different things but sometimes it didn't work. Fortunately I found a pants hanger sold online (JS HANGER Wood Pants Hangers, they are $2 per hanger), they have plastic inserts inside the metal clips, the hanger also has much sturdier clamp (this design feature keeps the pants secure / prevents from slipping)
As a Brit I always have a laugh (or should I say 'snigger') when Americans use the word 'pants'. Here in the UK we use the word pants to refer, almost exclusively, to male or female underwear!

Great and very helpful information. Concerned that in an accident the metal hook to hold the organizer from the back of the head rest might become a dangerous flying object in an accident scenario. Maybe use small bungee cords, zip ties etc. to hang it from. Thanks again. Loved the information and take care.
Notice she has the piece of paper towel already torn off when she grabs it....this is because the roll will come off the clothes hanger if pulled. Just sit a roll on your work table - much simplier
All Geat ideas ....now I make use of the plastic hangers I had ready for the 🗑 trash ben. Love the selzer ideas and trying them them in my sink and toilet this morning. Thank you 😊 💓

@7:18 one should not put a hard rod between the driver seat and its headrest. The seat is crush tested for safety. The metallic rod could be tampering with the survival of the driver in case of an accident.
I don't know if it's going to be a problem or not, but if there is a huge increase in using alcoseltzer for cleaning, are the facilities that remove contaminants from waste water going to be able to continue to remove the aspirin, and other ingredients from the water? I'm not suggesting other chemical cleaning products are any better, just that people generally don't consider potential problems their actions could cause.
My thoughts too. Aspirin shouldn’t be going down drains to get in water treatment plants, streams oceans and rivers (for those on septic systems). Baking soda and water or vinegar work just as well.
I love it when they clean clean things! Alka-Seltzer to clean everything, then she washes and scrubs them which would have done the job in the first place! 🤪🤪
Not necessarily...sometimes the fizzing provides an additional level of cleaning beyond soap and water.. especially if you live in an area that has hard water buildup. Those plastic containers for instance sometimes NEVER get truly clean with just soap and water. But I agree with another commenter sometimes soap and water needs a little "help" like adding bleach which also disinfects surfaces especially if there is someone sick in your household you are not just spreading germs everywhere.
Great ideas but do not use alka seltzer on your granite. You should never use anything acid on granite. I use Bob Vila's recipe: 1/2 cup alcohol, 1/2 tsp dish liquid, and 1.5 c water in a spray bottle.
Or plain baking soda or dollar store cleanser. Plus that bowl isn’t clean. Soak it in Dawn and that stain will come out. It’s the scrubbing that cleans it.
Most Alka seller contains aspirin unless you are able to find it without. Baking soda and vinegar are much cheaper alternatives with the same results. Did love the coat hanger hacks!!! Just makes sure if you use the chain idea, the base hanger can hold the weight.
Does anyone know the difference between the Alka Seltzer cleaning versus baking soda and vinegar (which would likely be less expensive)? The tabs would definitely be quicker....

Yes, and I get a gallon of cleaning vinegar. It has lower pH than food grade
Denture cleaning tablets from the dollar store work equally as well... Cheaper too!
Bleach does the same thing
Why alka-seltzer? Use baking soda that costs much less & works instantly. You save money & time!
I like the clean fresh scent of the cheap denture tablets from the dollar store. I use them to clean the slim flower vases that won’t take a brush.
I've used denture cleaner from $ Tree instead of alka seltzer. It's much cheaper & works as well.
Great idea, I have some from the Dollar Tree. TY😊
Nancy, I do this as well. I live alone & do this at least once a month. Don't forget the tank.
Yeah denture cleaner is more cheaper
I do the same thing. Works great and the price is right.
Just did it with tea stains on mugs. Works wonders. I discovered that you can transfer from one cup to another or tip it down the toilet bowl to save wasting too many tablets.
Buy velvet hangers. So worth it and they take up less room.
Those hangers have too long on the metal tho, making dresses hang too low, which is annoying, otherwise they would be great.
@@dianealman2093 what do you mean "too long on the metal"? My dresses hang fine. Is your closet bar too low?
Exactly what I was thinking. And don’t put the pants over a hanger.
I do like the velvet hangers ....
.... except,
It takes some extra effort to put some shirts onto the hanger.
