Hi, I like to study your content, but the almost 2 hour format is Not For Me. So I checked your video list and there is a nice variety of 6 to 20 minutes, that is much more what I can learn at one time. But even with notifications on, I haven’t been seeing those.
Anyone else like that range of 6 to 20 minutes? Wish that showed up in my notifications. 👍
That's why we make content in all kinds of formats :)
I love the long ones. But the short ones are good, too. The long ones are nice for when I'm taking a walk or cleaning, and I like that I feel like I'm getting soaked into the life of being an Etsy creator. (And even though I use the long ones like a podcast, I prefer RUclips to a true podcast am WAY more likely to listen to something if I can occasionally glance and see them talking, or look when they put up a chart or screenshare.) The shorter ones are nice, though, if I just want to look up a short topic and get an answer faster. And they're easier for sharing, because I know not everyone will have the opportunity or desire to listen to the long ones.

Also! My 2nd design I put up in my shop didn't sell in the beginning of selling. 7 months later, I went back in and optimized my listing and now its a best seller on the front page, 2nd row (without ads) of the design category. Highly recommend this.

What is your definition of “impressions”?
30:25 please give a percent numbers if telling about prices, because some items are selling for 3 dollar and I can't imagine the seller can give 3-10$ as discount. What percentage could be acceptable in this situation (I mean product launching)?

Scott, can you please tag me in a video about what good ad data looks like? I do have a ton of data just need to see what looks good. I pay upwards of 24 dollars in ads per day. And pardon me if you put this later on in the video, lol I'm almost halfway in.
Can you look into the legalities of putting items on sale as soon as they launch. Most states have laws against that. It needs to be at full price for a certain time before putting it on sale. Etsy ads are different but immediately marking an item down is most likely not legal in most areas of the US. If it’s something you are pushing hard please find out legalities and discuss on a video.

yes on target get likes get views BUT NO SALES, images are lovely and NO SALES, I am a designer too so I know about what looks good and blends well, so this is not hard. I am not getting anything 4 sales in 2 months have 120 items.

Stop telling people to create me too products. They don’t need to find products that are already selling and essentially copy them whether you call it that or not. They need to find a target audience and cater to them in new ways. You have to leave the Etsy platform in order to market your work to the world. They are not always going to be searching for you.

I don't agree with that design stuff at all. Designs that sell aren't always objectively the best, even if you can be objective about something so subjective. Sure, you can tell when someone is a total beginner and has no design skills yet, but there are lots and lots of tacky and "ugly" designs that sell a lot. The difference is that they still look intentional, not unfinished or random like beginner designers do. If you check the favorites of people buying them, chances are that they like other "ugly" designs too. You should know your market though, which kind of products they like. Etsy isn't really a high end design marketplace, people buying there are usually middle aged moms that don't have the same taste as someone working as a professional graphic designer, art curator or design magazine editor.
I think you misunderstand. If the goal is to make sales (which is the entire point of putting something on etsy), then the designs that sell would objectively be the best. Just because you think a design is ugly, doesn't mean most people do. Sure, there's an argument to be made that a design that sells might not comply with whatever "design principles" a graphic design professor might preach....but this is the real world :)
