As a Saints fan, I felt the same way when Brady was a short-lived option to come and play for a returning Payton at the very beginning of this QB carousel craziness - if Brady came and we won again, it would be great, but it would've never been OUR Superbowl, it would be Brady's Superbowl, he just would have happened to be wearing our uniform at the time it happened - then again, I was actually alive to see our first and only win, so I might feel a bit different if I were a Jets fan with the prospect of having Rodgers win one for us with Broadway Joe's blessing. One thing is for sure, though - if Rodgers ends up in a Jets uniform, we'll all be able to hear Favre laughing all the way from Mississippi!

Bledsoe into Brady for the Pats was probably better. Favre has the one ring over Bledsoe, but he got it playing against Bledsoe in the same Super Bowl. And you can't come close to comparing the Packers' success with Rodgers to the Pats' with Brady.
@jubeigore4263 I live in Australia and before I became a hardore NFL fan three years ago, the only teams I definitely knew were the Patriots, the 49ers, the Cowboys and the Eagles (because of Silver Linings Playbook for them haha)

Look, Jets fans need a deep and rewarding fantasy life. And as a Jets fan, Rich is 100% correct here. Fixing Zach and having a competitive team led by a franchise QB for the next decade plus would absolutely be the more desirable outcome. Of course you'd take a ring courtesy of Rodgers. But renting A-Rod for 1-2 years, getting a ring and then suffering through yet another rebuild - while awesome and totally worth it - is not nearly as enticing as consistently competing with Zach. I'm not even sure why this is a debate...
Rogers to Jets mentors their underperforming backups. Just like Brady going to 49ers for a year gets him another Superbowl while Purdy learns from the best.
I would love to do it the way the Bengals are doing it too. But the Jets are incapable of finding that gem to run the offense. We have 50 years of proof of that. As a Jet fan of 30 plus years, I don't care. Bring him in. I want a championship.
I will say it was year THREE in college that Zach Wilson broke out , his first two years at BYU were statistically bad; I’d give him one more year see if it clicks
I agree, if I am rubbing a magic lamp and making a wish, I want home grown. But in reality, you go for the best chance which is clearly Rodgers for the Jets.
i think what rich is saying is getting rodgers is like a cop out for getting to the super bowl. i’d prefer to have home grown players too as a lions fan. when we finally win it all i want it to be the right way
Nothing worse than a team buying a Super Bowl like the Rams did last year, rather a team to be good year in, year out struggling to get to the top of the mountain.
I’d much rather have seen my team win a ring in the way the Rams did than to build up a team and hope for a good team in 5 years. Even then chances are your team comes up short. Look at the Bills. Must be heartbreaking. Also, I could not imagine my teams front office not caring about winning. Either way though, I can say I’ve seen my team win a ring in my life. Still riding high from last season and will be for years and years.
As a Colts/Peyton Manning fan growing up, a can relate what bills fans may go through, and it’s way better than the alternative. For the next little while, Bills/Bengals fans, every year could be their year.
Jets are only a couple of pieces away from being in the mix. If they got Rogers and upgrade their WR group with someone like McLaurin and another vet, paired with Uzama at TE and Hall in the backfield... who's to say how far they can go?
Can we PLEASE stop saying "well Bradys 39-41" STOP COMPARING TO BRADY!! Alot of people are more talented then Brady, he was drafted in the SIXTH ROUND!! And yet NOBODY has done what Tom has done... im a Chiefs fan and i still hate mahomes/brady comparisons because Mahomes has won a single Super Bowl.. STOP. It ruins and blinds everything
The problem with would rather win a superbowl with Zack Wilson instead of Aaron Rodgers is that no matter how much you wish it so it will NEVER happen with Zack Wilson.
Another? How about Hadl, Fouts, Rivers, Herbert. OK, maybe not in a row, but that's pretty astounding. And they never won a SB. Yet. I also agree I'd rather not see Rodgers.
Both choices are not really good. Rodgers doesn't have much time left. Zach isn't going to develop in time and we walk in free agency since his trade value is so low. Carr is a better option. He has time and is developed. If not him, then who else? Jacoby Brissett? Garoppolo?
That’s a crazy take lol winning a Super Bowl in the smallest pro sports market with the storied past Green Bay has is way more of an accomplishment than New York.
Have the balls to tank for Caleb or Drake next year…it’s right there. The best thing 22 of the 32 teams could do next year is go 3-14. This is undeniable.
We can say that Rogers is more physically gifted than Brady without a doubt, but he's not in his category mentally. Brady's game is primarily his brilliance in decision making. It's like speed chess. Brady makes smart fast moves better than anyone else. And Brady is healthy and can move as well as ever, it seems. .o0
Rich, what about the movie Rogers comes we win a Super Bowl next year. Then Zack learns from Rogers takes over and we make a run with him for the next decade.
when greg knapp died zach went thru 4 qb coaches in 1 year and was ultimately left with a guy who has no nfl experience at all. went from a guy who coached vick, palmer, manning, matt ryan, his qbs had 5 combined 4000 yard passing seasons and 11 combined pro bowl selections. to a guy who has no idea what he’s doing at all at the nfl level. that’s a rollercoaster. the reason saleh said he wants to replace the “greg knapp” role with another senior offensive assistant. i tho k we sign rodgers for a year and have zach develop.
How's Jordan Love's development gone under Rodgers? Point being, Rodgers is notoriously cold to young quarterbacks because he takes the "why should I care about the guy succeeding me?" route. More to the point, getting rid of Chad Pennington, who really wasn't that bad, for a Brett Favre that lied about being hurt and left New York with more scandals than he came in with is nearly directly to blame for the Jets being in the position we are right now. If we trade two first rounders that we desperately need to get more playmakers for an aging Packer who could probably not give more than a quarter of a dump about the Jets, we're condemning ourselves to the same damn cycle all over again.
Rich speaking as a cowboys fan, take Rodgers and go for it now.

Watching everyone miss the point of what he's saying is the real comedy here.
Bledsoe into Brady, could be comparable in a way to Farve and Rodgers
Rogers to Jets mentors their underperforming backups. Just like Brady going to 49ers for a year gets him another Superbowl while Purdy learns from the best.
I would love to do it the way the Bengals are doing it too. But the Jets are incapable of finding that gem to run the offense. We have 50 years of proof of that. As a Jet fan of 30 plus years, I don't care. Bring him in. I want a championship.
That's great but, you're not getting to a SB with Zach Wilson.
As an Atlanta Falcons fan, I wouldn't mind buying a Super Bowl ... we are so far away, might be enough gold in fort knox.
You act as if those are the only two outcomes. Would you rather have your team buy a superbowl, or be a perennial loser?
11:29 "You're looking at me like I have three heads." No, Rich, not that bad. Just two heads. More like Zaphod Beeblebrox. .o0
“Zaphod Beeblebrox”
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Does Eisen know Favre only won a single Super Bowl and Rodgers only won a single Super Bowl... 13 years ago? Montana and Young had a few more.
Only way I’m going for Aaron Rodgers you have to trade for a receiver too DHOP or Mike Evans etc
Totally wrong Rich. Jets fans would take a SB with Peter , Paul or Mary
The Jets are more than flirting. They are downright THIRSTY. I love that rich is in the center of the a rod drama now😂
If we're talking about Zack Wilson why don't we also talk about other things that'll never happen, like unicorns winning the Kentucky Derby.
He’s lying. Flags fly forever. Stop lying, Rich.
💯✈️
Y'all are absolutely smoking dope if you think Aaron Rodgers is going to the Jets.
If Rodgers goes to the Jets, I’ll give away my Hellcat.
This will age terribly 😂
@@Breeceboy A12 will retire before he plays for the jets.
And We going for the Trifecta, with,"Jordan Love". And you can take that to the Bank.
"If he's talking Jets I might download Joe Rogan's podcast for the first time."
Rodgers isn't Brady. R has been to 1 SB back in 2011. Just. One. B has 4 SB wins in the last 10 years. (If memory serves me).
Man they ripping rich a new one in this hahahah
If Rich was a 49ers fan, this segment would be called, "Is it better to win with your first, second, or a third string qb?"
those smart guys at Stanford know string theory
Why can't Zach watch and learn from Rogers? He would be learning from one of the best of all time. Then it would be sustainable.
how are we talking about physically gifted and not mentioning lamar jackson whatsoever
Any Jets fan would rather do it with a draft pick than an import but Wilson is unlikely to bring home the hardware.
There's a new version of the einstein commercial I just saw today
Have the balls to tank for Caleb or Drake next year…it’s right there. The best thing 22 of the 32 teams could do next year is go 3-14. This is undeniable.
Winning a SuperBowl in Pittsburgh is better than winning a SB in Green Bay. Come at me!!
We can say that Rogers is more physically gifted than Brady without a doubt, but he's not in his category mentally. Brady's game is primarily his brilliance in decision making. It's like speed chess. Brady makes smart fast moves better than anyone else. And Brady is healthy and can move as well as ever, it seems. .o0
The Packers last two seasons ended with Rodgers throwing a bomb/prayer with other guys open underneath.
Imagine him with the 49ers if purdy can't get it done lots of scenarios lol
Marino knew he’ll be back. 🐬🆙
I’m not sure Chris and TJ understand what Rich is saying lol
I would love to see the Jets TEAM! win a Super Bowl...NOT a single player...
No single player has ever won a Super Bowl.
Could be Rodgers and Zak could do it together.
I feel like Rich just doesn't want to set himself up for disappointment
Rich does not want you to make him happy!
Everyone said Dan Marino would be back
Rich, what about the movie Rogers comes we win a Super Bowl next year.
Zach fan but if Rodgers is available, you make the trade.
Hahaha, sure Hackett will do that for them. Hahaha.
"Fourth and goal.."
"Let me see, QB sneak, or should we just kick a field goal? Hello, Jerry...?"
