A favourite of my brother who's thanksgiving service is on Friday. I understand the peace and serenity (and sadness) this piece brings. Absolutely beautiful.
My father play this every day, to learn this perfect, as a little child i don't can hear!! But now i feel the inspiration from my father more. My wish is this Adagio to lessen before i close my eyes ! Silvio Pasetti Artist
One of my most favourite classical pieces of all time... fills my mind with crashing waterfalls, fiery sunsets, soaring eagles, and clear, blue, infinite sky...
MfG Alfred/almebo
First heard 40 years ago ...long before his popularity ...this is the most beautiful piece of music written for the violin ....I prefer Kennedy to play since he is a true artist ..,

Me confieso sorprendido por esta bella pieza. Muchas gracias.
words cannot express the beauty of this concerto I have heard it many times, and loved it, but I didn't know who wrote it, nor who Max Bruch was. Thank you U Tube!!
Bruch was looking into his soul and wrenching out every piece of sonorous beauty when he wrote this. who couldn't be moved, it plays upon the sentimental but ultimately the soulful in us all, not to be moved by this is to lose a little of ones humanity.
11 people have no musical taste whatsoever, as this is an incredibly beautiful, powerful, moving and poignant masterpiece. The Almighty must have inspired Max to produce such a musical treasure.
This one usually wins the UK's No 1 favourite on Classic FM -(sometimes The Lark Ascending by Vaughn Williams wins) - but really this is just one star in the eternally German Sky revolving around the Pole Star of J S Bach. However - it has my vote - well done Mr Maxin Bruch. Well Done.
I would like to hear the 3rd Movement..... from this recording I'm an old student of this piece and love this movement and this interpretation.....Would lke the recording to be clearly identified by youtube. It does not give the player's name.....
Wonderfully soothing and quickly able to calm the most fiery of natures. This gentle, brilliant and yet simply-written piece is not to everyone's taste, yet for those of us who admire the composer's genuine, heartfelt feelings, we applaud his unselfishness in sharing his composition with the masses.
No-one on this page is stating the obvious - the enduring popularity of the Adagio movement of the Concerto has much to do with certain musical coincidences. There are a couple of key melodic phrases which - to modern day listeners - make it seem as if the composer just, in the nick of time, stopped himself from writing Hey Jude (The Beatles) and Maybe (Harry Nilsson) (!)
@Muzikizmydrug This movement isn't too technically difficult, but to make true music with it is extremely hard. No offense to Sarah Chang, but no 5 year old has the emotional capacity to play this piece at a high level.
What is the name of the young female violinist who was a protege of Erick Friedman? She plays in the classic Heifetz style. This could be her. She has videos on here and recently got married.

I don't think it can be a masterpiece if it's unknown. :) But I do love your channel.

Immer wieder bewundernd - was für eine herrliche Musik! Da haben sich die 27 Jahre gelohnt, die Du daran gearbeitet hast, lieber Max Bruch! Danke.

One of the most beautiful...peaceful, dreaming music. I just never get tired of listening!

It was my grandads funeral today and this was played at the start and it reminds me of when i was a child and he used to play it to me 🙏

예리한 선율이 너무도 아름답고 슬퍼서 아파와요.
Simboliza: paz, gracia y providencia?
I can`t understand, why 16 people have made the thumbs down.......
Because people have different subjective experiences about what sounds good.
33 dislikes now. 33 critics. We’ll have to let Max know
Because they cant perform it xD
Because they're dumb.Simple as that! I'm a heavy metal fan and i can tell you, this is so beautiful... Enough to have tears falling down. Too divine.

It seems to be a touch of the Happy Birthday song from 05:21-05:31. 🦛 🦁 🦓 🎂

Don't you think he look's a bit like Stanley Kubrick?
