For those wondering why the PPSH has 25 rounds in its drum, the PPSH is basically ripped out of the original BC2, the weapon ripped out being the UMP 45 I believe
also the m14. the m14 has one of the chunkiest charging handles. I thought they might at least do it for the sniper version but nope

Though my opinion will have a different point, I kinda wish for some FPS games to have a unique reload mechanics like having to reload under stress or when being suppressed that the character has a chance to miss the magwell.

Another thing I noticed about the PPSH is that the guy puts his left hand under the barrel, you know, the one with lots of holes in it? That seems VERY unsafe.

I also agree with you entirely that having a 25 round mag was for balancing, which makes sense seeing as how the only guns in BFBC2 Vietnam with magazines above 30 rounds were machine guns (100 rounds) so having an the PPSH with its original 71 round mag, and having the MAC 10 and UZI at 30 rounds would put the other SMGs at severe disadvantage unless they significantly hindered the PPSH 41's accuracy or something like that :/

+Mauser_C96 YT My thoughts exactly! Or more like, why didn't they just make the it use the 35 round stick mags? Guess they figured every COD kiddie knows only the iconic drum mag and the ensuing whining about "realism" would have been endless...
Using the stick mags with less than capacity would have also actually been realistic, since that's often done to improve feeding reliability and reducing stress put on the magazine springs.
Of course, there's no reason why the drum mags couldn't be loaded with less rounds, but would be giving up the only advantage those had - capacity.

I like how they had the RPK have its bolt pulled and not the AK-47, they had no choice but to include that because all LMGs must have a long reload animation and it would be utterly awkward to have a very slow magazine slap instead.
Animation could be just faster if they stopped with unnessesary bullshit action and gun wiggling.......it just looks silly......i like over all theme and graphics but animations are fucking horrendous

I always wondered why they didn't make proper iron sight aiming. Look at the AK-47 how the front post is raised far above the back sight. Kinda annoys me.

They reload the guns wrong. He didn't even pull the charging handle back on the AK. Also when you reload and empty M16 after firing all the rounds you don't pull the charging handle back... You just have press the bolt release button on the left side of the rifle. Also! the M21 doesn't even exist, it's just a scoped M14.

The game was made before proper reload animations was a thing. Now with BF4 and BF1 ya get some really good ones.

Cheeki Breeki I think that would be a good move. Many people aren't happy with Battlefield 1 DLC system, so I think that DICE would make next Battlefield game without paid DLCs, just like new SW Battlefront 2. For now, we have to enjoy other Vietnam war games, like Rising Storm 2 Vietnam.
Man I love this DLC, but these weapon designs are just pathetic. The reload animations are incomplete, the ammo count for most of the guns are wrong, the player character doesn't aim down the sights correctly and WHO THE FUCK WOULD LET THEIR GUN RUST THAT MUCH! I could understand that happening for the Vietcong but not the Americans or NVA.

The M16 with a 25 rounds mag, can hold 30 rounds; and every time you reload the charcter pulls back the charging handle.

The Uzi cyclic firing rate seems a bit exaggerated this gun shoots 600 rpm in this game it sounds like its shooting at 900 rpms

The M40s bolt reloading is shit. You dont do like that. You keep the weapon butt to your shoulder so it becomes easier to reload it and you do it fast.

Michelle Rachel No, but i want to be. When i reload my Airsoft sniper rifle it reloads MUCH faster when you keep weapon butt to shoulder.
I can tell you from experience that, for me at least, I can manipulate the bolt much quicker by taking it off of my shoulder , chambering a new round, then raising it back up. ( This is on a Savage Axis ll Xp) It really depends on how smooth the bolt is. Comparing it to you airsoft gun isnt really fair, because a real firearms bolt is much stiffer because of the lockup required.
