Seen several Ventures clips of Slaughter on 10th Ave, this one was supreme. The lead guitar really added some smooth filler licks w/o clutter. The entire band was tight as ever. Miss you guys.
Nokie and McGee have different taste/style of guitar sound, but both have the same spirit of being a part of Ventures loving Japan. Particularily saying, both Nokie and McGee have composed a lot of hit songs for singers in Japan, and people in my parents generation (born in around 1940-1950) are still loving the old time where Ventures songs were heard everywhere in Japan.
Mel Taylor, Bob Bogle, Don Wilson and Jerry McGee...NO NOKIE-SAN!! GREAT RENDITION OF JYU BAN GAI NO SATSUJIN

There must be 5,000 videos of this song and I’ve never seen a bad one.
the boys were still playing well back then. RIP to all the original Ventures.
Jerry Mcgee. You look smart that time I adore you as well as Nokie Edward , you have done your best on stage even your last minute of life .
