Hay day, forty years ago, was five of us in the hay field. One (the least fit) driving, two( the most fit) throwing bales on to the flat bed and two stacking bales on the flatbed. Usually done on the hottest, sunniest, day of the year, so the hay chaff would stick on every area of your sweating body-even under what ever attire you had on. Once the flatbed was stacked as high as humanly possible, we'd follow the tractor, driving the sketchy farm truck, back down the road to the barn, usually pissing at least several individuals who took exception to our slow pace and the fact that we filled pretty much the whole width of the narrow country road. Once to the barn, two of us would help load the elevator, three of us would be in the hay loft stacking the hay that came up the elevator. Once the flatbed was empty, it was a return trip to the hay field...by the end of the day we would vow that was absolutely the last year we would help, but we'd forget the sore body and just remember the sense of accomplishment and were back at for many summers, until school, other jobs took us away.
You guys were lucky you had an elevator we had to throw them up my friends wondered why I liked doing hay then they came and helped and found out the best looking guys no shirts were there great days
I'm totally binging on your channel right now. Love the effort and humor you put into your videos and your horses are gorgeous! Keep the content coming!
" new idea we roll them instead of carrying them.." me: ya it's also a waste of money if you roll it all the way into the barn. but it was really funny and it definitely made my day a lot better
I am in love with horses and your videos. You put so much effort into making videos. I really want a horse and if you could give me some reconmadations, that would be great im looking to adopt a horse preferedbly a show jumping horse. If you could respond I'd be ever so happy!
LOL, that was great. Do hay bales really weight that much? I've never had to lift one and don't know if I could if they're that heavy. Don't get me wrong I'd be more than happy to participate in hay day if it meant I had my own horse to feed, lol. I could use the muscle obviously.
They vary a bit but yes they can be quite heavy and the twine cuts into your hands if you don't wear gloves. It's not so much the weight that makes hay stacking a pain; for me it's because it's hot work but if I wear shorts and a t shirt I always come out in a horrible itchy rash! Thankfully I haven't had to do it for some years now as we've moved to a yard where they grow their own hay and I just buy it as and when rather than having to get a whole lot delivered.
No gloves!! That's hardcore. I used to buck bales in the hayfield in 100 degree heat with 98% humidity and then offload them into the barn and as brutal as that was, at least I had gloves...
200 is my record - owner on truck throwing them up to me - no gloves. My job was catching and stacking. Oh, that's after loading the truck - same job, only onto the truck. We did it about every 2 months
I love your videos! They always make me laugh! "Hey Brittney! Wanna hear a joke? Your boyfriend." Pure gold!🤣
Absolutely one of my favorite clips,,.lmfao!
These are hilarious I love it. Hay day is so annoying. They are like "many hands make light work" but on hay day it's still not light 🥲😅

No, the cat was wondering why you weren’t getting on with it 🤣
I can totally relate to the old gal. I have moved so many bales on my own in the years. Time for the young pups to earn there keep.
"Lord give me strength..." 🤣👌

hi!
I am in love with horses and your videos. You put so much effort into making videos. I really want a horse and if you could give me some reconmadations, that would be great im looking to adopt a horse preferedbly a show jumping horse. If you could respond I'd be ever so happy!
I have the same horse shirt as you, e one that the “old lady is wearing” where did you get it?
31:00 😂😂😂
What's your cat's name? He's so sweet
LOL, that was great. Do hay bales really weight that much? I've never had to lift one and don't know if I could if they're that heavy. Don't get me wrong I'd be more than happy to participate in hay day if it meant I had my own horse to feed, lol. I could use the muscle obviously.

Small square bales can be about 40-60 lb
No gloves!! That's hardcore. I used to buck bales in the hayfield in 100 degree heat with 98% humidity and then offload them into the barn and as brutal as that was, at least I had gloves...
I only did hay day once at my barn because I'm allergic to hay and could barely breath/see by the end of it
200 is my record - owner on truck throwing them up to me - no gloves. My job was catching and stacking. Oh, that's after loading the truck - same job, only onto the truck. We did it about every 2 months
When are you gonna do another video about Zara??
Me seeing this not getting it since we have a little car how does all😂
personally on annual leave day I'm on annual leave
Last hay day I went to I went into the field with 2 more people we stacked 200 bales and then unloaded and went back for more it is hard work

I have hay day every month 😢

Lol
