    You will reduce your batteries life cycle and quicker degradation. Once I receive my unit I will set it to slower charging rate. Good video for those that need a quick jolt

      Mine will be charging from solar mostly. This is a beta test unit I get to do (almost) anything I want with.

      This is true, but degradation is not as much as you think with a proper BMS like in an EV. Plus this is LiFePo4 chemistry which lasts 3-5x as long as NMC & much more resilient to fast charging/charging to 100% even.

    Just got my Delta Pro in from a seller on mercari. Paid 1700 plus tax wow what power house machine. This thing takes in power almost as fast as it gives it out. I can run my whole motor home on it. I can charge it with my solar array at 400 watts. I love it...

    I'm sticking to 120 volts. No info on the damage it may cause. I've got too much invested with 3 Delta's and 4 solar panels. Risk vs reward 🙃

    On my River Pro with extra battery. On slow charge under 200 watts. The fast charge is 585 watt. For 1440 Watt hrs, looking at receiving my set of Delta pros

    We had 2 dedicated 15amp 220v switched circuits added near our delta pro’s. It’s great being able to charge at 2880 watts.

    Pretty sweet you can charge at 240v (although I wouldn't do that often or the hyper-charge thing much) and that you can charge from EV stations.

    I have a Delta pro and 1 400 EF foldable solar panel. If i were to get a short connector that changes from xt60 to xt60i, would that boost the recharging?

    Thanks for the video! For 240V charging using a 3 prong dryer/stove outlet NEMA 10-50R (hot, hot, neutral) is the ground pin on the C13 connector of the DP used at all or are you just feeding 240V in with the 2 hot wires only?

    Light ballasts are 10 to 15% more efficient on 240v than 120.

      I'm curious I started to Google this and I wasn't getting clear results so could you clarify are you speaking of modern bulbs like LEDs or even CFL or are you speaking specifically incandescent bulbs? Thank you very much

      @@NoZenith I was talking about the HPS or Mercury lamps like they use for street lamps. I assume it would be true for fluorescent ones if they have a transformer. The higher the primary voltage on a transformer the lower the loss from heat beacuse it is amps times resistance. 220v delivers the same power with half the amps which means you could use smaller wire gauge in the transformer, and for the same amount of turns it would be smaller.

    I have just subscribed to your channel and like how you find things most don't tell you about solar power stations. I have just ordered an EcoFlow Delta Pro and would like to know if I can charge the unit with an A I Power 2000 watt inverter generator and how to do it and with what adapters if any. I'm sure that's a stupid question but I don't have much knowledge on these things. I would appreciate any info you could provide. Thank you :))

      Hello. Yes you can charge with an inverter generator - as long as the generator is pure sine wave. Modified sine wave does not allow it to charge and it also will cause warranty issues.

    There is a red x on the top. That means your pushing in to much power and you are damaging something slowly.

      No, wrong. There is a red X on top because this is a beta unit and they turn on that red X for all beta units.

    Nice video smart lady! Solar not an option for me. What is best way I can charge ecoflow DP from car while running loads during power outage. I am going to try a 1500w pure sine wave inverter hooked directly to battery.

    More volts allows more power without overheating the unit because the amps are reduced.

      Most likely a dryer plug or rv 50 amp plug. Just adapters.

    Wait is she referring to USA 240? Or UK 240 50hz? Usa 240 requires 2 hot leads where we UK, Australia,EU etc require only 1 hot lead.

    Hi Do ypu have any info on how to connect the EcoFlow App to an Android phone so I can get the app to work on the internet. It says only works on 2.4 ghz

    240 V is a standard in many countries. Double charging voltage doubles the charging current, too. It's not a hack, it's a feature

      Doubling the voltage does not double the current. It doubles the power to the battery. Internally it may double the current given that the pack is 48V.

    Ah, but will charging at twice the 110-volt rate burn something out? Even worse, will it overheat the batteries and perhaps set them on fire?

      Absolutely not. This is about the same rate as charging with an EV charge station or the smart home panel or charging in Europe and other 220V countries. I have a full video in the works and will explain some little knickknacks that I found out in my testing.

    Has anyone figured out how to charge their Delta using their cars 12 V cigarette lighter plug? I’m asking because when I try to charge mine that way the male DC plug that came with my Delta melts.

      The original delta may need an update from ecoflow. Ask support and they may send you something to flash it.

      Wow i thought i was the only one. Am totally disappointed cause my 160 watt panels don't work either. If anybody can tell me how to properly put it on top of my suv would be great. I am going to buy a different brand cause I had that one w ties and while driving the panels banged up n down. Anyhow they don't work. Only got like maybe 2mths use n my eco has been in storage since I can't charge it.

      @@factsmatter1172 basically you want panels that aren’t foldable and portable. You have two ways you can go. One is the glass panel in an aluminum frame. That may be ok. The other is the flexible panel. The flexible panel can be attached to the roof and works well but you have to use glue or silicone and attach It securely. The rigid panel will need to be mounted to a roof rack or similar using a bracketx

    The bummer with the delta pro is that if you have two of them and use the dual voltage hub and are outputting 240v you can not charge the delta pros because the dual voltage hub shuts down all the ports, both input and output on the delta pros. This really sucks

    Anybody know if this works on US-Delta Max units? Meaning utilize the voltage to charge the same 1800w @ 1/2 the current?

      Yes , I am guessing that in the app you can set your max input watts . Just set to 1800w. Other ecoflows work this way .

    Can I connect my double voltage hub to an existing transfer switch? It appears I'd need a L14-30 male and female cable.

      You can absolutely do that. I’ve tested it with the generlink on the house. However you CANNOT connect any AC input (for charging) to either delta pro when doing that. You will fry it. Solar is OK.

      I don’t know. Something tells me it’s mostly a software change. However the metal box says “Lv” or “HV” so there may be hardware too.

      G'Day Chas X. In a teardown video of the River Pro there were 3 DIP switches hidden inside. The guy assumed this might be for voltage setting (and 50/60 Hz frequency too). And of course Ecoflow will change the outlet panel, to match AUS plugs

      In some of their units the frequency is adjusted in software. Used to be selectable in the app but not anymore.

      We are talking about a cable with a European plug or an adapter that allows you to use the US plug in a 220-240V outlet.

      Yes. The AC outlets are pass through only when the unit is charging. Ecoflow doesn’t want 240V on the front plugs when charging.

      No it will not. In fact in Europe and other 220v regions their battery charging is that fast by default.

      240V outlet such as an air conditioner outlet. Use a C13 to 6-15 power cord

      No meaning the life of battery meaning cell life. It won’t last. Any battery you fast charge all the time won’t last it won’t balance all the time. you need a balancer machine to help balance the battery. And that still won’t help because the charging amperage pushes the battery Slow charge is always the best.

      @@boostboyracing the BMS has built in balancing. Lithium Iron phosphate is designed to be pushed hard. In my testing these past few months I haven't had any degradation that I've noticed.

      @@n2rj yes the bms. That’s correct but kno if your battery is 8 amp and your charging system is between 7 to 8 amps the batterys won’t last. You can’t have the charging system the same amperage as the battery amperage it won’t last

      @@n2rj I have the same one as well as the Delta Max. The 1300 has 800 cycles to 60 percent only because the ac charges too high. The way I charge mine is through 2 120 watt panels bringing in about 200 watts. That 800 cycle life will pretty much jump to 1000 to 1200 for me. Longer charge time but...

      @@preparingforanything incorrect. It is 3500 cycles. I am an Ecoflow insider so I know this for sure. I work closely with the engineering team. It is 6500 cycles to 50% and 3500 to 80%.
