My favorite Italian city is Sardegna.
They could go with the Nightingale family tradition and name a daughter after their favorite Italian cities (in the case of the Nightingales's, Florence and Parthenope [the latter is another name for Naples]). Florence became famous so a lot of girls got named after her in the latter part of the 19th century and the early part of the 20th. Venetia is a known though very rare girl's name. With that name she will be required to love the city :-).

My grandmother emigrated from Venice with my mom when she was young, but even living in another country, she never missed a chance to talk about how much the city meant to her.
She died a few years back, but watching Blue talk about venetian stuff really does make me feel like grandma's still around

I am in Venice right now. I finally get it Blue...this is just... The Palazzo Ducale is just... the City is just... wow... no words just awe! (edit: If you have already married, congratulations! Cyan is going to love it here, I am sure.)
I was lucky enough to spend my birthday there back in 2015. Took a boat tour around the islands at night, stopped by the Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark's on the way back to the ship. Most of the shops had closed for the night, but the gelato stand was still open. Late night gelato + live band playing + Venice = best birthday memory ever. I even recorded and posted some video of it, too. I toured the Doge's Palace the next morning; next to Versailles, I think it's the most opulent place I've ever seen. I wish I could go back...

Congratulations Blue, you scored your perfect match :) I just recently went on a trip to Venice with my mother and it was incredible. It's such a strange feeling to see all the exterior and interior pictures of the Doge's Palace and think "I stood right there" and "I remember that part". Personally, my favourite rooms in the Palace are the Great Council chamber and the armoury (I love my military history after all).

What’s funny is during a semester abroad I attended, we were basically dumped in Venice and told to fill our time for the weekend with no goal. Ngl, this was simultaneously the most romantic, and most nerdiest wedding present ever given. Definitely giving this wedding gift a 10/10.
