The sight of the Queen sitting in the chapel by herself during the funeral is a sad emblem of our times. Too many people have had to do the same in the past year. My condolences to her and all the people that knew and loved her husband best.

I know right?! She met him when she was 13! I looked at my lovely husband today who I've know since I was 16 and married at 20 and it's been 12 years now, and thought, if we are blessed with 60 more years together I don't know what I'd do when he went. Your whole lifestyle would change and at 95 that must be VERY difficult. Almost like having him that long would harm me even more when he passes on. I'm scared for her majesty. Yes my father bought our first TV set in 1952. The neighbours crowded into our living room on the day of the coronation, the following year. During that first few months we had the set, we were only allowed to watch for a short time each day. My dad’s mantra was, ‘we need to save the tube for the coronation!’ If only we had known, that flipping set lasted so long we were about the last family in the neighbourhood to get a colour TV😒
