Thank you thank you thank you. I have been trying for over a year to achieve a Pearl Pour without success until now! Your video and clear instructions helped me to finally achieve it 😊
Wow! I loved this video! You explained everything perfectly and those pearls are rockin! Thank you for this video! 🥰
I want to thank you so much, I haven’t been able to get a any done with all these different house paint. ❤❤you’re my saint now 😊
Now this is what i like. Easy instructions something i understand better. In ounces not gram . Thank you 😊
finally, possibilies ahead. thank you, thank you, thank you.
Your tutorial on mixing and measuring is so valuable. These steps are truly what make or break the beginning of the confidence to jump into the adventure that is Expression through creation. And failing those first steps will shut you down so quick. I hear the Love in your Voice Meta every time you give away your Amazing Creative Energy. Thank You Beautiful
Thanks so much Derrick! Teaching is definitely my passion! And I love the feeling when other's share what they made after being inspired by, or trying the recipe of one of my videos.
I have not been inspired in fluid art in a very long time, you might say, I got bored with the same ‘ol thing!!. How I bumped into you?, it’s like you knowing how much water you have used, I don’t know…but I’m glad I did. Pearl pouring has been a mystery to me until now!!!.
What was I thinking?!?! 😵💫
I had no idea watching someone mix paint was so therapeutic! Thanks for this video. I've not tried pouring yet, so this was really helpful
So glad you enjoyed it!
Meta, I thank you sooo, very much for this tutorial. You have no idea, how many canvases I have wasted trying to do pearls. You are so clear in your teaching. I have all of the ingredients ( and more! ) trying to get pearls right. I am thanking you from the bottom of my heart. You’re a great teacher and a great artist
It’s hard to find anyone so clear. Please keep teaching!! Thanks again 😊 Diane
Thanks! I am brand new at this and haven't even done my first piece yet. I've been stockpiling for my guest bathroom/studio😂 for about 3 months now and I don't really know where to start, but after watching this, I think I will start here. I really appreciate all the work you went to to show us how to do this properly and your generous spirit to share your hard-earned knowledge with us.
Thank you so much!
Perfect instructions and visual pour. THANK YOU, Meta!!❤
Looking forward to trying this out - thanks for sharing.
Folks, if you want to know how she mixes her other paints, check the previous comments, she posts it several times.
Not sure how I missed this video 10 months ago but it is totally my type of video. Well done!
Really nice sharing! + love it! My dear friend~Thank you so much ~~~😍😍😍
Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate it!
Just found this video and realized I have all the stuff to make the mix and I'm going to try it. Thank you for sharing your experience and time
This video is invaluable. I have watched it several times. Thank you so much!
The liquitex after 2019 the mixture caused a whole bunch of cells some of the liquid pores were overwhelmed with sales so a lot of artists quit using it past 2019 unless of course you want a lot of sales and then go for it you know what I'm saying anyway it's the first time I'm watching you and I really like your attention to detail and stuff and so I will continue watching
I am so glad to have someone real down the steps to this technique. I have primarily been painting and doing realistic photography. It has been challenging trying to perfect this technique. For me, it is more difficult than it appears.Thank you again for breaking it down.
Thank you for sharing how you mix...your pearl cells are always so pretty 💞💞💞💞
Awe thank you for watching! I really appreciate it. I love sharing what I know with others! I know it can be a tough technique!
Best tutorial on pearls!! Thank you! Now for part 2!!!
God bless you
My first time watching your videos. I’ll be back❣️ Your measurements and mixing description is the BEST. I really got a good sense of what and why. Thank you. 👏👏👏
So glad it helped you Claudia! Thank you!
So cool, love it.
Thanks! I followed your recipe and you gave me a lot of inspiration 😊 I am happy with my results
This is a really great video. As a long time artist who started doing acrylic flow painting by watching videos, the great pearls were a mystery until now! By the way light body paints are thicker than regular acrylics. Heavy body are even thicker until you get to a paste consistency! That's all there is to the explanation but choosing the right one for what you are doing is the real trick! Thanks for the lovely show!
Thanks so much Lalli, I'm so glad the video helped you! And thank you for the tip!
Stumbled across this video while looking for how to pearlize paint for something completely unrelated. And oh my goodness! This is SO COOL! I’ve never done a pour painting but after watching this I want to quit my job and just create & sell paintings like this!
I’m sure there is a long learning curve and you have to have the talented artist’s touch, but wow I love this! Thanks for sharing!
Be careful! That sounds a lot like me the first time I stumbled across a pouring video. It can be addicting! There is a learning curve as there is with anything. But I highly recommend trying it out!
Beautiful video.
Stay connected
have a good day❤
Thank you so much! 💕
Absolutely stunning!! Like, WOW!!!
✌️💜😊
Thank you for a fantastic lesson. The result was incredible.
I have been struggling with the pearl pour. My greatest take-away from this video is to add the water a little at a time. I think I have been adding too much at a time, and not enough water overall. Can't wait to give this another try!
Thank you Meta for a great pearl pour mixing tutorial
Thank you so much!
My satin enamel came without the oily layer. It was ordered from Amazon . I am wondering if that was defective. I am going ahead and trying a pour tomorrow with it. Have you ever gotten a new jar without that oily layer before?
Thank you so much for your tutorials.
Thank you 🙏, I appreciate all the information and demonstrations with your Pearl Cell recipe. I thought the painting you did, near the end of the video, came out beautiful. Thank you, stay safe, take care and I look forward to your next video 🙏♥️💐💐
Thank you so much for your kind comment Mell mell. I really appreciate it as well. Working on a new upload soon! Stay safe as well 💕
Most described video yet, thank you!
Meta. Thank you so much for showing us how to get the correct Pearl Pour. Mine has been to thick, I can see that now. TY and you are great.
Thank you Meta for a great pearl pour mixing tutorial...loved the pour too...love those boulders!!! Beautiful ending!
Thanks so much Donna! And I appreciate you coming to the premiere!
@@MetaPours I loved being there! Thank you for a great visit ❤️
Just found your videos & channel as I'm going to try this out as my new hobby & your videos are great! From a fan in th UK
Great picture
Thank you Susan!
I see that I just missed a fantastic Meta Pours tutorial 😕 I will be trying your Pearl pour recipe. It looks like it works perfectly. That half a teaspoon at a time will be hard for me. Patience isn't one of my virtues. Although my friends would disagree. This painting is spectacular. Just like the last one. Now I know what you've been up to.❤
Lol! Cindee, it's not easy for me to be patient with this mixture either. I try to be zen and meditative about it. 😆😆😆
@@MetaPours oh yes...me too.😃
Excellent tutorial & definitely helpful video Meta👍🏻⭐️🙂
😍👍👍👍Thank you !
You are very welcome!
Wow ur style is very unique very talented artist and smart wow 😍 love it
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
First time watching and I am bonding…like your technique ….will look forward to more videos..
Thank you so much Diane! I'm glad you found me, and are enjoying my videos! I"ve uploading a new video today!
Thank you so much Meta! It's gorgeous! What did you mix with the color paints? I guess, I may have missed that step.
Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
Hi Meta,
This video was very helpful for mixing the base coat for a pearl pour. I would like to see how you mix your paints…what ratios you use and what products…1 part paint to 1 part Floetrol and a squirt of Liquitex pm and water? Is is the same consistency as the base coat?
Thank you so much for your recipe. 🤩🤩
Thank you for doing this video Meta, I had to watch the first few minutes as I was late to the premiere..I will be mixing a batch in a few days!♥
Thank you so much Evie! Please let me know how it goes when you try it!
@@MetaPours sure thing and thanks again for the video!💕
THANK YOU FOR THIS VALUABLE INFORMATION!
You are very welcome!
Great tutorial Meta!! I haven't tried this technique yet. I will have to get some of the satin enamel and give it a try!! 💖 Love the colors you used in the pour beautiful!! 😍 💞
Thank you so much Danna! You should definitely give it a try! It's fun watching the pop up!
Beautiful work❣️Finally explained where I can understand it ❗️👍🤗😊
So glad that it helped you!
@@MetaPoursCongrats for your video but what paints we use and how we mix at the end ? I are amazing 🎉❤
I’ve been struggling with pearl pours for weeks! After seeing this video, I’m pretty sure I was adding far too much water at a time and breaking paint binders. So grateful for this video! Thank you, thank you!
I'm so glad that this video has helped you Paula!!! Good luck with your future pours!
Great video Meta! I'm definitely going to have to give this a try!!😍💛
Thank you Amy! You definitely should! I hope you are having a happy New Year!
Thank you for sharing 😊
Are you using this to mix in your other paints or is it used for only your base? I'm 70 years old and never painted so it's all new to me..thanks
very newbie and excited to try your recipe. Much appreciation for how you explain things.
Thanks for sharing your recipe Meta. Im totally going to try it. I cant ever get very many pearl cells when I've tried. Thanks again. Beautiful pour as always🤩😍🤩😍
Thank Amy! And definitely try it! If you want tons of pearls, this recipe will give them to you!
Graciasssss al fin encontre de forma clara y honesta la receta,Graciasssss por compartir Bendiciones
Nice beautiful work 👍😃
Thank you so much!
Hi Meta, love your work! Are your other paints the same consistency as the pearl recipe , or a little bit heavier? I’ve tried other artist’s recipes but can’t seem to get the desired effect.
I love that you make these videos . So amazing of you to do . I just watched your video on how to mix paint for the Dutch pour and there was no liquatex pm in those paints . Any particular reason ?
Hey girl you are doing super 💗
Your presentation is very nice
Thank you for sharing this video ❤️
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
I really like your pearl pour. It is really pretty and thanks for the recipe and hints for mixing. Great pour. 😍
Thanks so much! And you're welcome! 💕
Love this technique. Love the cells. Are the colour paints mixed the same.
Super🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you!
I missed your premier again! I’m so so sorry. I was grooming one of my dogs and my phone was in the living room charging. I want to catch your premiers! This one is very good. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe and showing how to mix it. Your piece turned out awesome too. I haven’t done a pearl pour yet. I’ve done a cloud pour though. Well you take care and thanks again.
Awe there is always next time Joanne! ;-) And thank you so much! I really appreciate it!. I love to teach what I know, hoping it helps people out there who are struggling with this technique. I know I tried SO many times before I finally got it. lol
Cool, love it!!
Thank you, for your super video It's very hard to watch videos after videos and you can't figure out what you are doing wrong, because of you I now know thank you again
Thank you Terry for becoming a member! I'm so glad this video helped you! Let me know how it goes when you try it out, or if you have any questions! 💕
Great tutorial Meta!...absolutely amazing pearl pour mixing tutorial
Thank you thank you Meta!!!
You are very welcome Betina! Glad it helped!
Thank you for the great video! How do you mix the other paints and what company are they?😮
You doing this recipe was the best. It is a smaller quantity than most other artists use. Example 14 ounces in 16 ounces of flow trawl. Thank you so much for the step-by-step and telling us to be patient can’t wait to try the results. Now all I have to do is mix colors
I'm so glad it helped you! Consider joining the Facebook group to share your results, I'd love to see them!
@@MetaPours thank you for the invitation. I do t do social media. 🙁
Thanks for sharing Meta 😊
Thanks for watching! 💕
Great tutorial and I thank you for sharing. I do have a question about how you mixed the other colors, the yellow oxide and the payne's gray? Maybe you have a video on how you mix your colors?
Can you use any white satin enamel or only Deco Art
Thank you so much Meta for sharing your recipe . I really appreciate and I will try it myself . Hugzzzz my friend 😍😍
Thank you so much Manon! I can't wait to see the results you get! 💕
Hi Meta! What an excellent video! I tried this technique today and found that my initial coat of white, which I stretch as much as possible, flows over the subsequent colors when I put down. I tried several other pieces making the white basecoat thinner, and then thicker, but I continue to have the same problem. I have done the test to make sure that all paints are the same consistency. The longer the painting sits, the more the white runs over the colors, making them milky and diluted. Do you have any idea what I’m doing wrong? thank you so much for your help!
Thank you Meta so much for this tutorial💕😘💕😘
You are so welcome Janja! I'm glad it helped you!
Thanks
What are the pads you use under your crafts? Thank you for all the tutorials you are making for the YT community. I have enjoyed watching all your crafts! Happy pouring!
I use puppy pads. I like to get the extra large ones, as the cover the most area. Thanks so much for your kind comments!
Super. Thanks! Any reason to not to start adding with 4-5 tsp water at the beginning and then 1/2 tsp at a time? Mixes better?
Thank you! Are the other colors the same recepie or ate they thicker?
I have crevices and trying to do this technique. Is it possible its because I’ve poured My water in too fast? Or another reason? Thank you for your tutorial. It is great.
So love this!!!!! Its simple and beautiful
Meta the colors added to the whites do they have satin enamel and are they thicker than the white or the same consistency?
Thank you so much Meta and thank you for using that color combination I love it 😍
Thank you so much Camile! It's a new combo for me, but I love it too!
Thank you for the tutorial! I don’t know what I am doing wrong though 🤷♀️I followed the recipe to a T- NO pearls whatsoever. Could it be I am using the artist loft semi opaque vs what you are using however it is still soft body ??? I’m so confused 🤔 any thought or suggestions would be appreciated!! Then you so much!!
Thank you! Do you use the recipe for cloud pours?
Do you have a tutorial on what a Dutch pour is?
Dang! - I have never heard of acrylic paint pouring, and if I had I would have had no idea how much there is to it. Pretty cool. I'd hang something like that in my Japanese apartment, if I could put a nail in the wall... but I can't :(
I discovered paint pouring during the pandemic lockdown, and I quickly became obsessed. It's like anything else in life I suppose. You can swim upon the surface, and enjoy the water, or you can dive down deep and explore the depths. There's a ton of different techniques and styles etc. But This one has captured my focus for the last few months.
As far as hanging things on walls with no nails... Do they not have command strips in Japan? lol
I am wondering if you mix your gold and black to the same consistency? It’s beautiful 😊❣️
great. love it.. But how about the colours you put. WHat is the composition???
I add probably close to an ounce of water at a time and it works fine for me. I do start with paint, add the lqtx and stir, then half floetrol stir, other half stir. I also use behr deep base clear satin enamels for half of DA white satin enamels. Funny how we can use exact recipe and not get results or use different recipe and get the results. So many different factors contribute to individual results. Thanks Meta. I’ll try your recipe just for fun. I’m sure my results will be great 💓
And I'm thinking of trying out Behr in my recipe! (I know lots of people swear by it) It's just a matter of getting my hands on some. lol
Thank you for the great video. I have so many problems making pearls. Can you tell me what the difference between Gac800 and liquitex is? Thank you thank you thank you
Great tutorial! Thank you so much!
You are very welcome Juanita!
Great video. Thanks Meta
Thank you so much Sandi!
I'm not yet try this kind of art,, I'm watching carefully how you mix the paint, someday I will try to do the same project.
I think everything that people use is subject to how they use it and their paint consistencies and everything else so I would say use whatever you want it works
I think that's good advice.
Great tutorial, you are a great teacher my friend.
Thank you so much Kelly! 💕
Can you do a dutch pour with the Pearl recipe? Ex. Pearl mix as base, then puddle colors and blow out with the hair dryer
