    So what do you think about the LD-002H? Let me know! ⬇️

    I very nearly brought this printer. As a complete novice in resin printing, I wanted to stay with a brand I knew (I have a Ender 3 from Creality). From watching your unboxing video and reading the comments I decided to go for the Elagoo Mars 2 Pro, so glad I did.
    Thank you so much for you honest in depth review, you truly saved me many precious hours of frustration.
    Please keep up the great videos!
    (Side note, I've had my Mars 2 pro for two weeks now and am yet to have a failed print...touching wood)

      Thank you for the kind words! Honestly means a lot. Glad to hear you got yourself a Mars 2 Pro. That thing is an absolute workhorse. I'm half tempted to do a '6 month later' review.
      I literally lost days... maybe even fair to say weeks, to the 2H trying to troubleshoot the issues and get things to print. Though as I mentioned in the video, once you *eventually* figure out what some of the issues are, you can get some very good results. It's getting it to work consistently that's the hard part.

      hows the elagoo mars 2 pro, any dos and donts if I were to get one later?

    • @TheBiscuitWolverine
      @TheBiscuitWolverine 3 года назад +1

      @@KnightZeemo its been an absolute dream. Still I am yet to have a failed print, believe it or not.
      Do's, I would recommend a wash and cure station if you can afford it.
      Don't, have the machine in a confined area. The carbon filter has a very short life expectancy. Make sue you have an alternative ventilation set up for when the filter dies. Mines currently in a dry cellar next to an open window and it still can be smelt around the house.
      Hope that helps.

    well I just received the 2H and the UW bundle before I saw this video, wish me luck as this is my first time with 3d printing

      after having received the printer so far I honestly have no complaints, it was a pain to level but once I got that situated the prints have been fantastic aside from 2 failed prints which were my fault due to not having enough support.

      @@nikklaren I’m glad to hear you’re getting on well with it! And yeah, once you nail the levelling it prints great. I do like this printer for the most part ☺️

    Z-axis squeak is common and fixed with a POM Lead Screw like this one: Befenybay 6PCS Diameter 8mm Black TR8x4 Lead Screw Nut for CNC and 3D Printer Parts

    • @PRNT3DbyMark
      @PRNT3DbyMark  2 года назад

      I managed to sort it by applying some good quality printer grease. Just have to make sure it’s also run through the thread that the z axis rod runs through… which requires removing the entire thing that holds the build plate 🙃

    Was thinking about buying this printer. I cost 110€ right now. Do you think it's worth it? Gonna use it to print D&D minis :)
    Thanks a lot for the video.

    I believe the way to fix almost every issue is by lowering the voltage supplied to the UV lamp. It’s getting over supplied.

      @@PRNT3DbyMark Leveling the build plate... I put a sheet of A4 between the bed and the screen and it works a treat. He fep pops allot more after each layer than others...

    • @PRNT3DbyMark
      @PRNT3DbyMark  3 года назад +1

      @@Thinkflite Ahh yes. I have tried that. It’s the more traditional way of levelling. Never quite understand why Creality don’t use or tell you to use paper, like you do on pretty much every other printer! I’m still going to persist with the 2H and figure out the sweet spot for it all. As I’ve said, once you get it printing consistently it is a good printer! 😊

    great, now I am confused. I hear so many others not mentioning those issues and recommend it even to beginners (I am looking into it right now, also because of some possible deals with like 30% off)

      Have a look on the official Facebook user groups. I haven't been on there for a while myself, but there were loads of people with the same issues I was experiencing. The 2H has dropped in price recently due to the release of their new HALOT printers.. which do look alright to be fair :)

    Are you using any washing & curing station to make cleaning easier?

    • @PRNT3DbyMark
      @PRNT3DbyMark  3 года назад

      It is a great printer when it runs smoothly. Hopefully you won’t run into any issues with yours 😊
      I do have an AnyCubic wash & cure. The build plate on the 2H isn’t compatible, but you can usually 3D print an adapter to make it fit. There is a basket you can put everything into though to give it all a good clean.

      @@PRNT3DbyMark thanks for the reply, you are reading my mind, I've also ordered Anycubic wash & cure 2.0 and I'll print everything that I need for this on my Snapmaker 2.0. Foldable handle for the lid and lids for the vat are already printed but without wash and cure station nothing really seems convenient yet

      @@darkonikolic8377 There is a wash & cure you can get from Creality. Came out not too long ago and would work fine with their resin printers. I’m not a huge fan of how it looks though. Their new Halot printers on the other hand look interesting.
