I am absolutely addicted to this program, other people have hosted this show , but Stacy really makes it for me, she is so funny and bubbly, and so kind to all the people she does these makeovers for. THE WHOLE TEAM make this show. And it’s truly amazing the end results… very lucky people to be able to have this done for them….. they are so inventive. I hope this programme ends NO TIME SOON….. 👏👏👏🌸🌺🌸

First time I've seen the show, and I really love how everything is taken out of the home, and only putting back what you love! It makes so much sense! :)

Hoarders will sadly relapse unless closely monitored.

This is nothing, I've got a Horder relative who's place would take weeks of solid work around the clock to get looking as good as the "before".
And the problem is you can Clean the house and it'll just get back to that state. You could move a Horder to a pristine new home and soon enough it would be a impassable mess.
Hording is a mental illness, a form of OCD. It can cause severe emotional trauma and even a complete breakdown when they lose their "stuff", so the real issue is changing their behaviour patterns and their complete mindset … not giving their home a nice declutter.
I'd be curious in a follow up episode in two years time … _bet the place is a mess again._

Well if Sue decides to read this I hope she decides to stick to a clutter free home! 🎉

I agree. I didn’t see the full programme so I don’t know if there was some ongoing psychological support. It’s not just the clutter but the need to keep buying more of the same items. I remember watching a similar programme where the psychologist involved supported the person to work on underlying issues. It seemed like in a lot of the backstory there was a loss of a loved one eg a child had died.

My dad is a hoarder. And I agree with you. We cleaned and organised, and it went back to its previous chaotic state

At the same time, it’s not like she bought all the stuff her mom gave her, and she can’t buy it again, so it is different for different people.

@@julianaylor4351 You can't possibly use more than one or two at a time and there are so many that you can't even use the furniture that they are on.
