Wayyy better than my Seiko 5KX… Which loses about 45 seconds in ONE day! And about 2-3 minutes a week. My Kamasu however, ohhh boy, it blows my Seiko out of the water. Which runs about - + 3 to 4 secs… Just amazing performance from the F6922 calibre. 20 bar water resistance vs 10 bar, lume on par with my 5KX, less bulk, screw down crown and those hands and indices are just awesome… And a sapphire crystal! Come on… An absolute bargain. And that stunning red dial, I’ve always wanted a red dial watch in my collection as it is my favourite colour and the light captures the sunburst effect beautifully and I am very happy to have the Kamasu as my first red dial and first Orient diver but most certainly not my last. Sadly, Orient is not represented in my country and importing just one brings it into the crazy price range of used SKXes. I got mine in blue a month ago and love it. Such an elegant watch with better specs than Seiko 5 Sport and quite cheaper. However mine runs about 15 - 17 secs fast a day which is about a minute and a half every 5 days or so. That would be like 9 min a month which I think is a little exaggerated even for an entry level movement. I checked with a compass and watch doesn't seem magnetised. Does it need regulating even being brand new? Thanks and great review!
Hey hey. They do not regulate them in the factory. I have another Orient star that runs at +20 per day . I wear them in rotation so I didn't bother adjusting but yes, it's common!
Japanese Dive Watches are so ugly, either boring or vulgar. Unless you're willing to buy a luxury diver then you're better off going for a Cristopher Ward Dive watch if you REALLY need one.
Hey there. Thanks for the comment and support. Very little people that spend 300 dollars on a watch really need a diver, they're just buying for the style. Also, I love CW, but if you have 1200 dollars, would you buy a CW or something with more history. Thanks again
Have to agree that this is gorgeous. However in the end I actually went for the venerable Orange bezel Mako XL with a 44.5mm size which suited my 20.3cm/8" wrist better. It's rumoured to be discontinued soon, so I took the opportunity to get one while I had the chance. The Kamasu was a bit small for me, but it's going to be great for most people and it's definitely a beauty. That red dial is very striking. I also just ordered my first Ali Express! A red dial Monster from Heimdallr. If it's anywhere near as good as it seems I'll be happy! It's also a bit small but I loved the look and it's impossible to get a new Seiko Monster now obviously.
There is a new Orient Triton (RA-AC0K) that, IMHO, is better than the Kamasu. Similar traits to the Kamasu but the dial and bezel are cleaner and it's screw down crown and day window are at 4 o'clock.
Great value, quality and design. I have the beautiful red dial. Love it! "The Baracuda" as another watch reviewer called it is truly unique and a great addition yo my small collection. I get regular compliments on it. It exceeded my every expectation. 😊
My first watch I brought was the Citizen Fsirlsdy Z watch I got direct from Nissan HQ in Japan so its 66 of 100. This starred my recent affair with watches so I recently brought the Orient Mako XL it's a nice looking watch but the Kamasu Red is what I am looking for now a great looking watch with good reviews thanks.
I like the darker tone the red has on the Kamasu for it going from darker and understated into full on radiant as you move around in light. Not that the Kanno isn't incredible too? Just has a more aggressive bling thing in it's larger size and lighter tone. Six half dozen with the two both great.
ORIENT RA-AA0810N19B Men's Automatic Analogue Sports Watch Stainless Steel, Bracelet amzn.eu/d/0rgmppG This is the last variant from the Kamasu range .. but I'm not sure if ai can find the red dial. Thanks again
The crown on my Kamasu broke, and it was hell trying to get it fixed in the NYC area. Watchmakers just didn't want to touch it, and apparently Orient doesn't make its parts easily accessible in North America. It's a beautiful watch, but because of the lack of servicing options, I don't recommend it.
Hi there. Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about the issue. I've never had an issue with any Orients I've had in the past, that being said I haven't had them for very long. Unfortunately these things happen but I'm sure you can buy parts off eBay for it.. can you not? Thanks again
Hey there. Thanks for the comment. I personally think in a way there is no wrong or right way to wear your watch . It doesn't matter if it's on the left or on the right or under or over the wrist-bone . I think it's a personal choice since people prefer them looser. Each with their own I guess. Thanks again for the comment.
@@WatcheswithGeorge yes, I suppose you’re right, though wearing a watch on the wrist bone does hamper the dexterity of movement on that hand. If you’re fine with that, fair enough. Enjoy your channel btw.
@@jpmeredith8973 To be honest in my case it all depends on the weight of the watch and what I'm doing .. because if I'm in work and my wrist will expand I will wear it a little loose. Thanks again my man.

Hey man.. thanks for the comment.. I have no doubt that's cool.. also it's the 38 mm one which I really like BUT you also had to lay extra to make it an even better watch, in terms of desirability.. probably the SkX would take it but in terms of delivering a great watch from the get go.. I'd have to give it to Orient. Thanks again
Help needed.....I've started collecting Orient and have bought 4 from new.....but 2 of them have signed crowns and 2 do not!!! Are they not all signed as standered????
I have been having Orient RA-AA0001B for over 10 days. RA means "non-Star model assembled outside of Japan", AA means "automatic diver lineup" ("Automatic Aquatic"? Because AP then can mean "Automatic Petit", and AB in Tristars definitely means "Automatic Basic"), 00 means Kamasu model, 01 means Basic Black (dial+hands+strap combo number within the model), B means general dial color code (black). No issues so far as an everyday watch. Excellent bezel action, excellent lume, excellent accuracy (more on that later). The logo, both on the dial and on the caseback, is perfectly fine, especially compared to what they had in the pre-Epson era. Also no problems with the crown action that someone reported on the earlier batches of the watch - they must have fixed it already. There were two things I needed to do though. The first thing I changed was the bracelet - the stock one makes the watch too heavy for me, so I immediately changed it to a quick-release 22mm steel mesh strap that was lying around. Nice look and feel. And the second thing was regulation. The initial accuracy settled on about +8.5 spd, which I didn't quite like, so regulated it myself with the help of a software timegrapher on Android ("Watch Accuracy Meter"). The F6922 itself is very stable and doesn't have much positional deviation, so it was worth giving a shot. The trick was to get the grapher display about +5 spd in the "dial down" position. Really takes some micrometric precision. After this regulation, the accuracy settled to under +1 spd in my 24/7 wearing mode. Not only is this within COSC and Rolex standards for mechs, but also well within mass-produced quartz watch allowance (±30 seconds per month). Now I'm very interested what deviation it's going to have at the end of October. If it is under +24 s/mo, I'll officially declare that I found a mech more accurate than one of my electronic Casios (W-800H which cannot be regulated in any way). And all this with sapphire and without trying to look like everyone else. Well done, Orient.
Bought a rally bracelet for my 5KX from them. It's all good until you unscrew things to adjust the bracelet. Once unscrewed these screws unvariably will come lose and work themselves out of the bracelet over a day of wear. Had to use loctite to fix these things!
Ironically enough I’ve actually seen a few pictures of the red Kamasu with the red end second hand. (SMH) I can’t stand the look. I’m almost worried that if I order the red, that it could potentially come with the red tip. (LOL) I also don’t really enjoy the off-white lume. My Mako 2 has perfect white and it’s just something that irks me. Is owning a Mako 2 and a Kamasu silly?
Hey there, thanks for the comment and support. It's not silly at all, I have two very similar Steinharts and two Hamiltons that look almost identical bit i go to them for different things, so not silly at all!

@@NA-ij5jy hmmm.. i've had a few orients before and they were fine .. and I wouldn't loose faith in them , it depends if the crown cam off the stem or the stem snapped in , because if it came off the stem it's a relatively easy fix and even if the stem snapped in you can buy another one and replace it.
Have the red with the strapcode jubilee bracelet and it takes the watch to another level
I have dived with this and the Mako 2 and both have held up superbly, as well as on my rugged outdoor job.
Thanks for this. Just got mine with the intention of putting it through some slightly hairy adventures and you provided a fair bit of reassurance.
@@Heyitsthathairyguybit late but how is it holding up?
@@shanqz7779 worked a treat! It's gaining about ten seconds a day, but I put it through actual hell, so im willing to accept that
What straps were those at the end? Paired very well
There is a new Orient Triton (RA-AC0K) that, IMHO, is better than the Kamasu. Similar traits to the Kamasu but the dial and bezel are cleaner and it's screw down crown and day window are at 4 o'clock.
Thank you.
My runs 0 seconds. I have the red model, I loves this watch.
Great value, quality and design. I have the beautiful red dial. Love it! "The Baracuda" as another watch reviewer called it is truly unique and a great addition yo my small collection. I get regular compliments on it. It exceeded my every expectation. 😊
You really shouldve lined up the bezel for your macro shots
Hey.. thanks a million for the attention to detail.. you're right .. I should've. You live and learn. Thanks again for watching
If this is the best watch, then might as well get an orient USA II, same specs but sapphire cristal and solid end links
I have this red hot beauty❤
My first watch I brought was the Citizen Fsirlsdy Z watch I got direct from Nissan HQ in Japan so its 66 of 100. This starred my recent affair with watches so I recently brought the Orient Mako XL it's a nice looking watch but the Kamasu Red is what I am looking for now a great looking watch with good reviews thanks.
orient makes a great watch
Next watch I’m going to get after my prx quartz
@@macbass1048 you won't be disappointed my man!
I like the darker tone the red has on the Kamasu for it going from darker and understated into full on radiant as you move around in light. Not that the Kanno isn't incredible too? Just has a more aggressive bling thing in it's larger size and lighter tone. Six half dozen with the two both great.
I love Orient watch you can put a Rolex i take the Orient !
That bezel sounds like a cartoon sound effect.
Great review gerorge,
Can you please do a review on Orient

Great review, George. Planning on buying one of these soon. Also, what is the music used throughout this?
Hey.. thanks for the support.. it's Bach, Suite No 1.
Price is $260, is that normal?
Hey man.. thanks for the comment, they're selling on ebay for around 200 . If you search enough! Thanks again
Which one is the latest model in Kamasu red dial ??
ORIENT RA-AA0810N19B Men's Automatic Analogue Sports Watch Stainless Steel, Bracelet amzn.eu/d/0rgmppG This is the last variant from the Kamasu range .. but I'm not sure if ai can find the red dial. Thanks again
Im a 37mm guy..but, damn i love the burgundy face
Hey man.. me too .. but this looks epic!
I adore my blue dial kamasu very much .... 11/11/21
Always surprises me when guys who host watch channels wear their watches incorrectly - one shouldn’t wear your watch on the wrist bone, but before it.
Where to find this strap? Btw nice watch I will add it to my collection
What is the size of your wrist?
Hey there, 6.3 inch 😃
If it had a power reserve Indicator I would get one
Well, yes. But I own a modded or ‚pimped‘ SKX 38 mm 013 ( movement, bracelet, sapphire, lumed bezel, signed crown). And it says SEIKO on the dial, you know its for the cult ;). $ 650.- incl. labour cost.
Hey man.. thanks for the comment..
Beautiful watch, this one is on my list for sure. Too many ads in this video though.
Hey man.. thanks for the comment, good to know...because I can dial it down a bit. Thanks a million I really appreciate it.😃
I just got this watch, and it’s stunning for the money
Put it on a strapcode bracelet and it becomes even better 👌
Hey .. thanks for the comment , so I've heard , apparently they're the only ones that make a bracelet for it! Thanks again
Just ordered mine from strapcode can't wait !
Bought a rally bracelet for my 5KX from them. It's all good until you unscrew things to adjust the bracelet. Once unscrewed these screws unvariably will come lose and work themselves out of the bracelet over a day of wear. Had to use loctite to fix these things!

I just received this watch today and it's absolutely gorgeous! I bought the one with the red dial, same as yours.
Made the right choice my man.. it's stunning! Wear it in good health 😃🤩
Great job George. I do love the red dial as well. I have a orient sun and moon. Love it.
Give me one reason the SKX is better than the Citizen NY0040.
Hey there. Thanks for the comment and support. I can't give a reason because it's not better than the SKX. Like I said .. the SKX was the first and it started a following.. but it's not better than the CITIZEN.
Hello my friend.. I love this Kamasu,, but I want to ask you... Which one do you prefer or think is better ? this Kamasu III or this new model RA-AC0K04E10B ? Hope your thoughts .. Thank you
Hey there , thanks for commenting. Personally I prefer the Kamasu since it's a bit smaller.. BUT.. if the model you're asking about was tiny bit small would probably choose that.. since it's a bit thinner. Thanks again
@@WatcheswithGeorge thank you
@@porvenirlopez no sweat man.. thanks for asking!
What is the strap that you feature in the video? That one goes with the watch beautifully.
Hey .. Thanks for the comment and support .. someone gave it to me as a present .. I can recommend StrapsCo .. they have a great selection for not a lot of money . Thanks again
Great watch 👍⌚
The SKX is so overrated. I love mine but I'm just gonna sell them soon.... They're junk compared to Islanders, Orient's, etc. Outdated. I may keep the skx013, they are skyrocketing in price even more than the 007/009. It just feels so good to wear.
Not long after purchasing my kamasu, the crown came off loose when pulled out to set time.
Is this common defect in Orient?
Hey thanks for the comment, not sure how common this is , this is the first time I hear about this to be honest , there should be an explanation on a forum somewhere . Thanks again and let me know how it works out .
Thank you for your answer. I just want to know if I’m going to be okay buying another Orient. This never happened to me before.
Always had Seiko.
Either way I wouldn't loose faith in them .. besides Orient is part of the Seiko corporation anyway they just operate independently . Thanks again and let me know . Thanks .. just realized it's an entire essay here ..:)))
It's a screw down crown. If you pulled it out before unscrewing it no wonder it came lose...LMFAO
@@silverghost4206 I agree, omega would be a ultimate gift. I have to say, after buying some orient watches( after being a lifelong Seiko user) and having to send them back because of faulty crown or running too fast or something..., I finally received one kamasu that keeps time perfectly. Never had to adjust the time since I got it. I am very surprised.
I do find orient to be more precise than Seiko, based on my last one. And I refuse to even consider paying the crazy prices for Seiko today! If I had that kind of money for a watch, I would buy a Tag , if more money, instead of grand Seiko, would get Omega.
Beautiful watch but why are you wearing it on top of your wrist knuckle? Further up the arm sir! Above the "knuckle".
Agree that logos can be distracting, but the applied loco looks classy with the Orient name, and the script is clean and clear and pretty well balanced to and bottom.
What was the actual accuracy of yours?
Just bought the blue one
Wheww ! Amazing watch
The only dive watch I'll ever need is my Orient M Force Bravo .Japan made iso certified with power reserve indicator.Bought it good as new for 230 quid.

Thanks for the video, im right now searching for my first automatic watch, so it's useful for me. ;-) But let me correct you little bit, just to let you know, the Mako III is the same watch as Kamasu and the Ray III is the same watch as Kano.

Just bought the black one I love it. Great service came quick nice quality box and great quality watch
I opted for the Kano with that Dial color & put a low double Dome on it. Bezel & Crown 👑 are way better. It wears smaller then the specs would suggest as well . 🥂
Hey.. thAnks a million for the comment. This one wears smaller too .. but my wrist is small 6.3 inch .. so the Kano would be a bit too big for me! Thanks

Why is it so expensive?.. it's a great watch but not worth 450 dollars man ! Deffinetly better value for money at that price.
Have you ever seen manufacture scratches on sunburst dials that can only be seen in really bright light under a certain angle? Almost like the machine that finishes the dial produced it.
