My daughter, 15 yrs old, also has CMT, like the girl in Dr. Pfeffer’s video. Is there anyone can let me know how we can reach out to Dr. pfeffer? Millions of thanks.

My husband has CMT this was extremely informative and interesting. He wears braces now that has velcro in two places and very cumbersome is there anyone out there that could help him. He is not deformed in his feet nor hands thank goodness, but he cannot go anywhere without his braces on, no balance and he seems to be getting weaker in his legs we really need help thank you

Dr. Pfeffer I first saw a story on you last week, read the article and all I could say to myself was "WOW" could this be true, could it really work. A little back history, in the 70's I had all the tendons in both feet cut and tied tighter, the surgery really wasn't a success, the feet dropped again almost right away so I hope you understand my need for knowledge. I have to ask you sir, in the story you said this is an outpatient procedure but on here it sounds like maybe it is not? I'm 55 and enjoy walking outdoors, working on my property, going fishing, like to target practice, etc, but my balance sucks, terrible severe sprains like everyone with CMT get, went into work one day (sitting job) and my boss said, " I haven't seen anything this bad since Iraq". Am I a candidate for this surgery at my age? Can it help me to live the way I enjoy living? My feet aren't as bad as that little girl (at least I don't think so) but I don't get the view of seeing myself walking, of course I know how deformed my feet and ankle are, my shoes keep wearing out on one side making the ankle twist more, braces hurt very bad (all types) and I believe surgery is my only recourse to live a comfortable life. I wanna talk to the GOOD doctors at UAB after I get answers from you to see if there is a chance to help me. The article said you don't put someone under that instead you use a nerve block which sounds preferable to me, is that still true? How long before I can get on my feet and back to work, because if I'm gone too long I will get moved to another post if one is open? Thank you and hopefully you have the time to fill me in on my questions to make my decision easier.
