oh boi the viki stuff we talked about made it into the video niceeeeeee. hmm i do wonder though if viki's rune is a regular blinking rune or if shes in possession of a true rune and both us and herself don't know it. the main think that is sticking out to me is her 7 yr old self knowing when shes going to appear and having knowledge of her older self it makes me think that maybe her powers are actually split between her older self and her younger self and that maybe her younger self is traveling through time to try and "correct" the timeline or something im not sure because, we only see younger viki in suikoden 3 so that leaves me with so little to go on but younger viki personality wise is NOTHING like older viki and its crazy it honestly makes me think the rune split her into two and maybe they both posses half of a true rune like windy and leknaat WHICH BTW leknaat still only has half a rune after suikoden 1 soooo either windy is still alive or the other half is bound to someone else >.>
I definitely want to do a full video dedicated to the theories about Viki at some point. There's way too much going on with her not to talk about. It's possible she does unknowingly have some kind of true rune. A lot of fans like to say that she doesn't have one, but Konami have never stated she does or doesn't, and there's no proof to suggest it either way. So it's a possibility. Younger Viki also appears in Suikogaiden Vol 2 (the visual novel). As for Windy, since Windy and Barbarosa's bodies were never found and their runes are unaccounted for, I suspect she teleported herself and Barbarosa away before they hit the ground.
@@CulganValya yea, i mean with viki we can't really say she doesn't have a true rune cuz its like with luc he always came with a wind rune but it wasn't until suikoden 3 when we found out he had the TRUE wind rune so its not like viki doesnt have a TRUE blinking rune or a different rune, im of the idea that her true rune caused a personality split OR... maybe something like younger viki is actually the years viki is missing from her age. a bit hard to explain but lets say between the time we first see her being suikoden 1 and the time when we see younger viki being suikoden 3 the time between that was 7 years AND THUS younger viki is 7 years old so maybe its possible her true rune took those 7 years and created a whole new viki with a personality opposite of regular viki and thats why younger viki exists? i dont know how plausible that is but its funny to think about. yea i agree about windy and barbarosa i think they teleported though the question is WHERE TOO and how come leknaat hasnt gone searching for her to get the other half of the gate rune back? or how come we never hear anything bout it after suikoden 1... i really wish we'd get more suikoden games maybe we'd get more answers =/ OR MORE QUESTIONS lol
Right? There's so much potential to explore with Viki. It could literally be anything. Does she have a true rune? Is it two versions of her travelling through time and overlapping? Are they clones? Or something like you said and she was split. There's so much to explore with not just Viki, but all the other mysteries. I guarantee more games will bring more questions than answers. But the questions they bring are just as fun as the answers
Very nice and good theoreticized video, another thing to the topic is, that the book in Suikoden 1 says actualy thet there is a stronger Unite magic to achieve by combining 3 elements, and that only Crowley can do it, and the other thing is, when you look at the intro of the Saturn version, there is a corelation of 3 elements shown, showing the Resurection run as one of the elements as well. i was experimenting by giving Crowley different hight level runes, sadly i could not achieve any results, also in the saturn version not, but Its very interesting, maybe there is more bechind it.
I remember seeing that in the Sega Saturn intro. I tested the Resurrection Rune with all of the others and there doesn't seem to be any combination that works. I also tested combinations of 3 elements over the years and that also didn't work. I don't recall ever seeing anyone achieve any results either. It could be a mistranslation? Or just a bit of lore that's not an actual game mechanic.
@CulganValya The 3 runes unite is a mistranslation. It seems to have been a misunderstanding, the Japanese mentions nothing about three anything, it just says rune unites are the ultimate power.
That's definitely a possibility. Personally I think it was Levi's journal since it's unlocked immediately after recruiting him, but there is definitely a possibility that someone else wrote the journal and he just found it during his studies.
