I was hooked after a few minutes. The game has a neat way of uploading your high-score to a leader board. The leader board needs a reworking, though. Also has a built-in system to take you to a guide for the area you're in. I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it works since the score thing works. Totally agree this is a 5/5 games.
I am hard drunk on Activision/Audacity kool-aid. I am very happy to see an Audacity game receive such high marks as I want to see the heroes of my childhood don their capes and soar once more. Audacity sees their games as commercial releases and not homebrew and have set a high benchmark for themselves which is great. While their first two games aren't my favorite type of game, it doesn't matter to me. They have my support. I hope additional former Activision people will return with new creations like this.
@@TheAtariNetwork hahaha I think it's ok with not being into all their games. I can honestly say that many of the highly regarded 2600 Activision games were not my type of game back then either, including the almighty Pitfall. What Activision did for me though was show me what the 2600 was capable of in the hands of talented game makers. Whether I liked them or not, I marveled at all the Activision games that I came across as a kid (maybe Boxing was the exception lol). The graphics and sound and game design were amazing. As a kid, some of my favorite Activision games were Starmaster, Stampede, Chopper Command. Later as an adult, I got into Beamrider and Megamania. Beamrider and Starmaster are probably my top Activision games. I want to give Enduro (didn't like it as a kid) and a few others another try.
I don't take giving out 5 lightly. It's only the third game to receive a perfect score. Alien Abduction, Baby Pac Man and Tempest 2000 are the only members of the Atari Network 5 club!
I am happy to have this game in cartridge form. I have only played it once so far and mostly fell through the floor. It’s amazing that these Activision guys are putting out these high quality “pro brews”. Great review.
@@Jolt7800 agreed. I wasn't expecting a whole lot when I started playing it honestly. I didn't care for Circus Convoy much (call me crazy) but this one was a very pleasant surprise. I'm hoping we get Kasey's Gold soon!
You can tell that this is an activision game as there’s only 1 mode. I can’t stand some activision games because of that. Why can’t I just change this 1 detail that would make the game better?
It was pulled. It's still visible to those who bought it and available for download if you erased the 16K game to make room for Atari 50. 😂 Also, the VCS version is only 16K, as JVR intended, and ends after the first 20 levels. The Audacity version was expanded by David Crane.

Good review. I am surprised you never grabbed this for your VCS 800.
@@jeremiahthomas8140 yeah well it just never spoke to me. I missed out! I still never grabbed the John Hancock 7800 game off there either ..

Is it sacrilege to say that Circus Convoy did nothing for me either?

Good video! And Review! I picked up this game recently. I liked it, it is a fun challenging game for the Atari 2600.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good too!
5 out of 5!?! I am going to try this one for sure! Great video!

Wow ! A rating of 5 joysticks ! It seems to be a fun game , hero was a grear game ! Thanks Jon
Wow! A 5 CX-40 Joysticks out of 5. Looks great.
It's a rarity to be sure!
Thank you for that review 😊
Thank you for watching!

How can I buy this in cartridge form?
I always have it in the description but here it is

I thought this game was pulled from the Atari VCS store. Is it still in there?
@@derekdash2179 oh you might be right. I dunno honestly if somebody who doesn't own it can check I'd appreciate it

Will this game work on a 2600+?
@@derekdash2179 that's what I collected this gameplay from. Keep in mind I have the latest beta firmwares loaded though
