The gunfights are usually "realistic" in most Battlefield games. Guns actually have recoil etc. But everything else is usually over the top like driving quads into helicotpers and shooting planes with RPG's lol

It's no Bad Company 3 or 2143, but a direct sequel to BF4 is good too.
bf2 and the extended maps were perfect for me, and 2142 was awesome.
2142 had no right to be such a spectacular game. still waiting on a sequel/remaster. titan mode was my jam
This makes me sad because this is the rehashing the same idea and getting rid of everything that made 2142 great. All this does is slightly change the looks of the weapons and vehicles to look less angular... idk this trailer just hit different.

Unlike cod I feel like the Battlefield franchise is able to get away with going semi into the future and also really far into the future like 2142. Like compared to cod battlefield can do so much more with any time period it's set in.

It is not going to the future that is the problem. The problem is adding those stupid double jumps and wall running that COD used to do. But Battlefield don't do that so they will be fine I think.

That was an insane trailer. Jet scene was sick - nice BF reference from a while back. I love the slight jump to the future - it's been ages since BF has done that right? I'm curious to see what they can do with the gadgets. Also I'm hoping to see some good "levolution" style events again. Paracel Storm is probably my favourite BF map just for the storm that rolls in.

Like, some of the stuff in the trailer is already available in modern military. 20 years from now just as the title of this game the world's military forces will look exactly like this. Gameplay wise, I couldn't say anything as of now until we see the gameplay trailer later on.

It's weird seeing comments about how Battlefield is now going in a futuristic direction, not realizing that Battlefield 2142 did that exact thing first. And speaking of that game, I have a theory that this may be a prequel to that exact game, and if that's the case, then there may be hope for either a sequel or reboot of 2142.
I hope so but i get the feeling that this game is going to be battlefield 4 with a slightly futuristic coat of paint.

Man, those are the most awesome looking explosions and special effects in an online multiplayer game ever! The semi futuristic theme and all those bullet tracer effects are giving off a big G.I. Joe vibe. They even put in the Cobra H.I.S.S. tank vehicle from the live action G.I. Joe movie! I've always wanted a G.I. Joe themed Battlefield game, and I think this does it. Yo Joe!

I really love the future setting and new mechanics I’m seeing. I’m still not 100% convinced since it’s EA, but I’ll wait until I see some reviews and some RUclipsrs gameplay.
