      Staying as long in the draft as possible, it’s better to stay behind someone until 100 m to go and than all out.

    Would you consider racing in the upcoming indieVelo Grand Tour 5 day team stage race!
    It would make for incredible content trying for the GC, Sprint, and/or climb jerseys!

    Would be nice if I could crack a 1000W's in races. Usually top out at about 950 .Think that would help! But cause I'm crap at sprints I never practise them so I'm not very co-ordinated. Might try getting in a better gear as usually get bogged down due to too high gear and feeble legs. Might practise spinning more, and trying to engage my core as I don't think I do that.Thanks for the tips!

    Hey!!! Can you talk about hand arm technique!? Are you pushing the bars side to side.. or are you pulling them into you? Right arm pulls up while right leg pushes down. Any advice would be appreciated!

      The majority of the force should be opposite to your Pedals. The flick from side to side is created by the placement of your front wheel.

    • @CharlesOuimet
      @CharlesOuimet  2 года назад +1

      Practice practice practice! Never sprints from the hoods, it's less stable, less aero and less power output

      I'm an out of shape middle ager with his first real road bike and sprinting from the drops is strange to me. I can do 1070 watts from the hoods though.

    En tant que dude qui roule seulement en fixed gear, jme suis toujours demandé comment les roadies change de vitesse pendant un sprint. Genre comment ça marche, tu peux tu shifter pendant un sprint? Btw sprint en track bike c dope en criss hahaha

    • @CharlesOuimet
      @CharlesOuimet  3 года назад +1

      Ahah je connais bien ça le track bike, j'ai course en fixed gear et au velodrome en masse! En route tu enlève un peu la pression pour changer de vitesse et remet le power après, enlève tension etc..
