    PERSONAL EXPERIENCE CALORIE DEFICIT TIPS
    - don't use oil in a pan. It tastes the same. Just put the heat down a little so that it doesnt burn but shouldt be a problem in no stick pan
    - make self made ice tea that u can drink in thr afternoon as a snack in the sun: just make lots of For example peach tea, let it cool down and drink it later with ice cubes in the sun!
    - when making pasta, just use 50g or so, and eat it with for example a veggie bolognese with lots of vegetables and for example soy mince.
    - movie night low calorie snack: berries! Also: frozen berries like blueberries. Tastes like candy and has super little calories
    -start your day off with at least 20g protein and youll be less hungry throughout the day

    Best Ways to Cut 100 Calories
    Breakfast:
    Skip the large glass of orange juice and have an orange instead.
    Never eat a whole bagel, ½ is more than enough.
    You don’t need over a cup of oatmeal, try ½ a cup instead.
    Have eggs without the toast.
    Keep in mind every packet of sugar in your coffee is 10 empty calories.

  • @Alexandre-jd4eq
    @Alexandre-jd4eq 8 лет назад +9

    Awesome video!
    I'd just say that although the general rule of thumb would be 2lbs/week of weight loss, that is not the best way to approach it. Losing 2lbs/week if you are obese person or if you are a 90-100lbs individual might not be the best thing (in terms of keeping your muscle and losing the maximum amount of fat). Instead, aim for 0.5% to 1% weight loss (per week) of your current weight, that way you would have a better ratio of fat loss and muscle preservation during your whole diet.
    Cheers !

    Hey I agree with not just weighing yourself and cheking out the miror or pictures more often but most people working out for their body have low self esteem and can't see it. I recomend the measuring tape for waist line or any body part for that matter. What gets measured gets managed. Maybe you could do a bit on setting realistic goals and how to measure progress through the journey. As usual love your vids!

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад +1

      Yea, I feel you on that. Measurements can definitely help as well. Honestly, measurements in all cases can help. The most important factor is that the measurements begin trending towards the direction you want it to trend. For people that might have low body self-esteem, I highly suggest that after every workout, they remind themselves that the torture they just put themselves through will be worth it at the end =)

  • @animal1746

    I'm 16yo, 180cm, 75kg. Will get 80kg. I'm 14% bf right now. And then I was thinking to do a cut. But a friend told me there's no need to cut at that age. If I eat amount of calories to maintain, not bulk or cut, and train I will still lose a bit of body fat by the trainings and gain muscle or what ? Or what about bulk and then do a mini cut?

    • @theempoleon78
      @theempoleon78 7 лет назад

      When I was I was i the same position. Eating at maintenance and training kept me in a 10kg range between 65 and 70. If you want to gain mass then bulk, if you want to lose mass then cut. It depends on your goals but being at 14% bf is good, 15 is better since you're not "fluffy" and you're not "shredded" especially as a natural.

    • @animal1746
      @animal1746 7 лет назад

      so better to cut?, also i got 78kg already 14-14,6% bf

    • @theempoleon78
      @theempoleon78 7 лет назад

      Neither cutting nor bulking is better. Just be careful about it. What type of body type do you want? Try to find out the bf% for that type.

    • @theempoleon78
      @theempoleon78 7 лет назад

      What do you mean aesthetically pleasing? Lean, shredded etc. You'll be fine if you don't go below 12%. If you don't take drugs going below 12 will make you look anorexic. 9% is achievable but dangerously low. It causes all sorts of negative effects. Just look at the truth about being shredded.

    • @animal1746
      @animal1746 7 лет назад

      aesthetically pleasing, like jeff seid, jon skywalker, zyzz, like a fitness model, i know theyre all on drugs btw, i may do some test e cycles after some 3-4 years, it has almost no negatives, just gyno but if u take estro blockers no probs, take pct after and all good.

    I have a question.
    Over the years, “The Biggest Loser” contestants have been followed after the competition and have shown to gain their weight back. They went on calorie restriction diets and exercised, but their metabolisms were shown to slow dramatically.
    Why is this? Anyone can answer

    • @oliverugr3789
      @oliverugr3789 4 года назад +1

      Due to high amounts of exercise and diets where they eat around 1000 calories leads to them losing alot of muscle mass which leads to slowed metabolism and due to the show host never teaching them how to eat responsible they fall in to the same life style and start binging again which leads to weight gain

      It has much to do with caffeine.

    • @ParthSareen
      @ParthSareen 8 лет назад +1

      Green tea is a known metabolism booster. It is recommended to take 3-4 cups of hot green tea w/o sugar or milk. Personally, I only drank one cup a day and added training and going on a cut. Mixing those three, i lost a good amt. of weight even though everything was done in moderation. Whenever i eat crap, my metabolism helps me break the food down faster. Which doesn't cause my weight to change as much.

    Could you do a video about the CNS ? For example how to best recover it, and whether very heavy weight training can fatigue it too much compared to moderate weight ? I was wondering also in particular whether heavy training can affect brain function/performance for a few days when it is intense, which could explain the "meathead" stereotype.

    So you are certain that if my daily calorie expenditure is say 2500 calories, and I consume in a daily basis 2300 calories from butter, fried food and refined sugars i'm gonna lose fat? Speaking of a regular individual (1.80, 80 kilos, 15% bodyfat, regular weight training).
    Cause I know that muscle gain or fat loss it's in part determined by calorie intake, but I think it's more important what you eat because that produces a physiological response in our body that affects our hormones, that are the main driver of muscle mass gain (or loss) and fat gain or loss.

    Fat doesn't make you full! 1g of fat has more than double the calories than carbs and protein. this means you can eat the same amount in calories of cards and fat, and be twice fullness with the carbs. the way to be eating large volumes and still be having less calories is to eat a lot of foods high in fibre. like vegetables. and they're much better for you

    • @lowkeyben9386

      101ilpie Fat doesn’t make you full lol sources pls??? based on my overall experience going too low on fat was a terrible mistake when dieting, I used to think fat makes you fat I realised that was a complete myth, there’s a hell load of benefits.. fat keeps you satisfied a lot longer than protein and carbs do during a cutting phase as it takes longer to digest compared to the other 2 macronutrients it explains why fat has double the amount of calories than both it helps to keeps your hormonal balance in check. Carbs are just temporary fuel to aid performance levels and if that energy is not used your body will store them as fat sorry mate but you’re being dishonest

    But I thought cutting after bulking was supposed to make it so that ur muscles will show better (from the bulk). So why even bulk in the first place if u will lose.muscle on a cut? Im confuzzled.

    • @speedyprod8237
      @speedyprod8237 Год назад

      You are completley correct dear rachel, but ill explain it in a bit of detail so u can't be confuzled x) , so basically you have to bulk Aka be in a caloric surplus (around 500 calories depending on your body or objective) , and that exact caloric surplus gives you strength (for training in the gym and resistance training/pushig yourself to the limit ect) that leads to the bread and butter , Muscle hypertrophy !! now the cutting phase is done to define those muscles and shed that extra fat and make those muscles shine and look sexy while maintaining them by eating a high protein diet ! see you cannot build muscle if you are on fumes and not eating enough/maintenance calories.
      do you understand the process now ? i'm sorry if i was to long x)

  • @TheShuffle02
    @TheShuffle02 6 лет назад

    Just to clarify to everyone...
    Weight doesn't mean shit. The more important measure would be your BMI (Body Mass Index) measures your fat percentage and your total muscle mass. Weight however yea you may be over weight but you might not even be "fat" or "lardass" for all you know you can probably just be muscle dominant and have more muscle mass than fat percentage.

    could you do a video on working on athleticism like gaining speed ,vertical jump etc love your vids

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад

      Depends what the activity is used for. Speed in track? Vertical jumping whilst moving/stationary? If anything, mastering the techniques of those movements (running gait, optimal ground reaction force application, jump timing, etc.) will help you the most. Velocity training might also be your friend.

    Hey! I weigh 260lb and my goal is 180lb-170lb how much calories would I consume daily to reach my goal? Is there a shortcut? like if I'm suppose to consume 2000 but I consume like 1000 cutting 1000 calories out of my daily intake.

    Make a video on how many times a week you should train.

    • @ParthSareen
      @ParthSareen 8 лет назад

      3, in general, is the sweet spot for most people. It can also depend on what type of training you are doing. Ex. If you are doing endurance, every day isn't bad with one rest day. If you're doing hypertrophy or strength, 3-4 days is a good option. Because you are lifting, it is important for you to give you muscles ample amount of time to rest. You don't wanna over do it.

    so should we cut slow and long to better preserve gains if cutting for too long is bad? or adding in some refeeds would solve the prob?

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад

      I suggest you experiment for yourself. I personally never do long-term cuts. It's usually within a 5-10 pound cut and then hovering around that area unless I'm trying to bulk, then I go up again. Best of luck.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your great advices,
    I have been in caloric deficit and I reached a plateau where I can't lose weight anymore. can you make a video for such cases like mine which I think it's a slowed down metabolic case. Do you agree with me ?

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад +2

      Completely agree with you that metabolism slows down if you're in a long-term weight loss plan. After all, your body's goal is to survive and burning all your energy stores isn't going to be the best option. Instead, it will slow down the processes of your body and hunger-based hormones will increase. Although the obvious answer in continuing weight loss is by decreasing calories further, I would suggest that you try increasing your time spent training instead. I'll see what I can do as far as a video. =)

      Joshian, im gonna be real with you here. If you don't have self-control then you wont be able to lose weight. You will need to be very strict with yourself and eat only healthy, because if you don't, you won't lose weight.
      So if you want to lose weight ''really badly'' then you should be able to control yourself because of that.

    • @PictureFit
      @PictureFit  8 лет назад +1

      There are many factors that will affect your TDEE. Even knowing your age, weight, height, and body fat percentage isn't enough to make a solid determination. All I can tell you is that if you see a "plateau," you might consider restructuring your workout program as well as increasing your protein intake. Hope this helps!
