Yeah the zoo has definitely grown and updated areas. The zoos of the 50's and 60's we're more about the humans visiting than the quality of the habitats for the animals.
I grew up near the zoo and would jump the fence just to take a shortcut to Fordham Rd. They closed the north entrance a long time ago. I haven't been there in decades, and I live 1 mile away.
I am hopeful the birds will be back on habitat this year. I always enjoy seeing the many different types of birds. The Bronx Zoo did a great job keeping the susceptible birds safe while the others on display.
It takes a lot longer to film the zoo, I try to get the best views of the animals, that takes time. If I wasn't filming, I would have been able to go through the zoo in a single day
I know your going back to Bronx Zoo next year will you just be going to the exhibits you missed last year or are you gonna see the other exhibits you saw last time too
Fave animals ones u haven't seen before just as many of your viewers haven't seen these before either. Such a shame so many birds extinct. So glad Bronx Zoo has large variety of beautiful birds they have. Shout out 2 Bronx Zoo for that! Great 2 see they care so much bout birds!
I actually have a Part Three for the Bronx Zoo. It's filmed a year later, I focused on the areas I missed the first time. The Asian Monorail was a part of it. ruclips.net/video/-b9Wz6F75r0/видео.htmlsi=t4i3lWPEgDgSHPA8
Also I'll give you a little tip next time you visit if their is a long line for something just wait in the line because its more likely to get longer as the day goes on
Yes very true, the downside was it was close to closing time so I would of missed a lot if I got in line. I'm returning this year to see the stuff I missed. So now there will be a part 3 😁
@@TomsRoadTrippin also I know when you come back you will do the Monorail and Reptile House also some other exhibits you missed were the Mouse House, Butterfly Garden, and Pheasant Aviary will you remember to do those three next time you visit too
Part 2 is always a best
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I try to keep my tour's to around one hour long. Larger properties typically requires two parts.
@@TomsRoadTrippinthis is a longest zoo I ever seen
Yet another great Zoo Tour of the World famous Bronx Zoo. The Bird inside the Finch Aviary is actualy a Fruit Dove.
One would never think theyre in the Bronx! Everything is so green and lush. Liked the size of the habitats
This zoo had very nice sized habitats for the animals. This is a fantastic facility, lots of plant's and tree's all around.
Big change from the 50s/60s time I visited. Very nice video.

Have you ever been to the Central Park Zoo Prospect Park Zoo or Queens Zoo before
awesome video tom. My favorite animals were the spotted hyena rolling on its back it was really adorable and the Malayan Tapir Swimming in the water
That hyena was certainly cute 😃 Thanks Zachary for your comment.
Great video as usual. In World of Birds, the bird you say is a lesser bird of paradise is intact a Himalayan monal. Still a beautiful species though
Thanks for the info! Inappropriate the correction. Lots of beautiful birds at the Bro Zoo.
I'm glad you got to see some birds at the Bronx Zoo. I hope the avian flu is over, so you can see more birds at zoos.

@@TomsRoadTrippin You should get you a kookaburra at your house. Do you think your dogs and cats would like a bird?
@@hollycrossman40cats Will probably ate it
I went to the Bronx Zoo two weeks ago and I hope I don't make you jealous but I got through the whole thing in one day

@Trey S I'll be focusing on the areas I missed last year first. With the remaining time I will go to the area's I rushed through last time.
@@TomsRoadTrippin good strategy

I get excited anytime I see a new animal for the first time. Hopefully the birds will be back on habitat soon, I really enjoy all the gorgeous birds.
Seeing the giraffes in a forest was a believe it or not moment
57:20 bro this cloud rat enclosure is so hard to find a cloud rat. At least that guy from zoo tours did it
If I had more time, It's possible I would have spotted one
You didn't get to ride the wild asia monorail! That's ok, they're other videos of somebody filming POV videos of the wild asia monorail.

Several of those other areas you mentioned weren't open during my visit. I'll see if they are on my next visit.
Im glad you visited the Elephants when you did because did you know they are planning on getting rid of them
The elephant requires a large portion of land. It's understandable that some zoos don't have the space to house them.
at 9:28 it is indeed a Coscoroba Swan
Some ducks kinda resemble swans
Meet the penguins 🐧
Ooo
Did you know that before the Dholes they had Polar Bears until they got euthanized
