The Matsya Puran records that 10 kings of the Shunga dynasty ruled for a total of 300 years Note that Chanakya uprooted the Nanda-vansh to establish the Maurya dynasty, so this phenomenon is not such a rare occurrence. Maha-Padma-Nanda founded the Nanda dynasty, which ruled Magadha for a total of 100 years (out of which Maha-Padma-Nanda himself ruled for 88 years).
