Inscryption: The Most Surprising Game Of The Year

- This year has been an interesting one for games. There have been a lot of surprises, but most of them haven’t been the type you actually like to see.
But there have been some great surprises, like Inscryption. It’s a card game/escape room puzzle that released in October 2021, and I think it just might be my game of the year. One of the biggest reasons for this is its masterful use of surprise. In this short essay, I just might convince you to try it and be surprised yourself.
I really want to play this game, so I'm leaving a like and a comment but I'm not going to watch.

Love these games that surprise the player! I recommend you give Northern Journey a try for that surprise. It's not perfect and more than a little rough around the edges, but one's persistence more than pays off with a weird game with a ton of charm

@@Ramsey276one Nah it's definitely a fairly standard game in terms of how it plays it, it's a first person shooter set in a quasi medieval nordic setting, but it's really full of cool gameplay moments
Picked it up essentially by random and felt in love with it just as you are saying. I definitelly had the most fun with Act 1 an wish there was more of it so there was reason to play it after you end the game as more typical rogue like just for the fun of it but overall the game and its twists are awesome
There is the developer came out with Kaycees mod which is endless act one
I read gaming magazines and played the neck-breaking demos at the stores. 😂 RUclips has made research a whole lot easier.

I am so grateful he only showed the intriguing Act 1 for this video. There's SO MUCH to be unexpected following the first Act. Inscryption was a game I took a chance on, seeing so many reviews saying "SEARCH UP NOTHING, PLAY THE GAME BLIND!"
Therefore, I did play it blind... oh boi did my blindness lead me down a bright, rewarding path.
Absolutely get this game. There's a lot more to it than what you just saw.
My friend let me play act 1 of the game and wow, I literally found my 3rd favorite game ever. Then I got to the act 2 and 3, and wow, that game was incredible. Honestly, so good. I still play it to this day

This game was indeed awesome. The Messenger is another recent game with a great twist like this.
