Teach For America Alum Creates Teaching Materials That Help Students Learn and Belong

Abbas Manjee (New York ’09) gained valuable insight while serving as a teacher. He saw that the standardized teaching materials educators had available did not connect with students on a personal, cultural, or individualized level. This lack of personalization could negatively impact student learning.
