Wonderful box Carl, i am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Condolences to his family…..RIP Braxton….. My mom always said live each day as if its your last, always be kind, it may mean a lot to some……you two please be safe…..bless you
That's a beautiful box, both in grain and form Carl. I am dreadfully sorry to hear of the loss of your good mate Braxton. My prayers go out to his family and to you and Robin. Cheers, mate.
Sincere condolences to you and his family. We are getting to the age where we need to be thinking not just about this life, but the life to come as well. May God grant healing to all those affected by this.
My sincere condolences for the loss of your friend and fellow woodworker. This was a lovely tribute. I managed a smile at about #4:38 when you started to apply finish and the applicator jumped out of your hand. You gave the finger equivalent of a shrug of the shoulders which said as clearly as anything, "I've got enough finish here in my hand, I'm just going to carry on." May we all find the strength to just carry on in these (gestures vaguely at everything) trying times.
Wonderful tribute and honor you have bestowed upon Braxton. like many of our tribulations in life it is but a process for the reward. Small question at minute 6:51 you are making rounded patterns in the bowl what is that tool called?
So sorry for the loss. I have the same finish you are using on this, however Mine has congealed. Is it to be heated a little or squeezed out life a gel, Tim
I really enjoy making Lidded Boxes. This is one I’ll be trying out very soon. I’d like to know what you used to coat or seat the wood with & the applicator used please & thank you. I’m sorry to hear about your friend.
Carl great video.im so sorry to here abought.Bralton.thank you for sharing. What ever bone head put the thum down on the video aught to be ashamed of them self .From Doug
I also do teardrop stuff in honour of my late fiance...a tear for each tear I shed for him kind of thing. I started off with a tear-shaped rock garden and Russian sage because he was Russian and he loved herbs more than flowers in gardens. It sounded appropriate anyway. But I love anything tear-shaped. Do you sell any of your work because I would love to have something like this. I would put Russian sage put in resin in the box.
That's a great tribute Carl. Sorry for the loss, he will be missed in the community.

Thank you so much Bob!! Here's a link to the beading tool I used, d-waytools.com/beading-tools/
Turned out nice. Do you have a slurry from sanding with the feed-n-wax? If so, does it need wiped off? Thanks.
Thank you Joseph! Yes I wipe it off with a paper towel after every grit.
So sorry for the loss. I have the same finish you are using on this, however Mine has congealed. Is it to be heated a little or squeezed out life a gel, Tim
Thank you Tim! I haven't hear of that. I'll check it out.
Great box and a fitting tribute, Carl. What grit do you use to apply the Howards? Take care.
Bill
He goes through the grits and the Howards keeps down the dust as well.
Thank you Bill! Hotrod Hog is right :)

Thank you so much Doug!! We thought the same thing!! 😞
Carl you are so welcome my friend thank you thank you.
What do you use with your sand paper? Is it a sealer/oil?
I sand with either Walnut oil, or Howard bees wax. It really cuts down in the dust.
