- I put the amazing HIMIWAY A7 Pro Commuter E-bike through it's paces on Blackpool Promenade. The model is fitted with a 250 watt power, mid mounted torque motor, which gives assistance (UK) up to 15.5mph.

I've only ridden three eBikes and this one is, by far, the most comfortable and smooth to ride.

Ohh Steven, four years ago my wife and myself suffered serious injuries near our home in south Cumbria, including a stroke the team at Preston royal neuro unit,the message to you is please please wear a cycling helmet always,mine saved me from more injuries, thanks,and we are now well and cycling,

Prior to moving to Blackpool I didnt touch a bike for 10 years. Honestly its a brilliant place to cycle so smooth and easy and I do it for work often. The only thing is that I wish there was more bike actual bike parking down near south shore.
The downside to an ebike like this is finding somewhere secure enough to park it. It would be much sought after by thieves.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool Sadly very true. My bike is second hand and a bit rusted as it only cost me £60 off Facebook. I do lock it course but thankfully I dont feel it would attract the same people aha

Nice bike, if a little pricey. My worry would be the security, even with a decent lock the buggers would have it away in minutes with a decent cutter. The lighting on the buildings etc, looked lovely on this video, the lighting at sunset time is always lovely. Your review was certainly very thorough Stephen. 👍
That would take some peddling around here Steve which ever say you walk there is a hill to go up as New Mills is set in a valley with bills all around it.
Nice review. I am looking at electric bikes but am a bit scared as you hear so many stories of kids with bolt cutters stealing them. It is a worry as I don’t want to spend all that money for nothing. Keep up the great videos 😊
That’s the downside I’m afraid. I doubt I’d want to let this out of my sight unless it had the best bike lock available on it.
The lock thats on the frame that locks the back whel is known as a dutch lock due to it being so common in the netherlands.
I don’t think it’ll stop anyone wheeling the bike away on its front wheel.

We have more powerful ebikes in the US, this looks very nice!
Definitely would recommend LED headlight, taillight and turn signals, all for safety. Helmet for safety as well.

How waterproof are the electronics, should you get caught out in a British Summer 'car-wash' deluge? I had one of the earlier DIY conversion kits, and that fried itself the first time it rained! (the block of 18650 cells got repurposed!)
In the instructions it does advise against riding in heavy rain.
...looks nice, lucky you! ...good solid review, hope you will perhaps do an update in one of your future vids. ...i've been thinking about getting one for a while but this one's over my budget but i see this company do a 'mountain bike' type model, which is what i need and it's quite a bit cheaper! ...btw these bikes can be unlocked to do 28mph!! ...all the best, cheers...

I think I would look into a 50cc moped instead if you require localised transport to get about, surely cheaper and faster?
The ebike does allow a bit of exercise

Very nice. ok your not on the road but anyone riding a bike on the roads today without a high viz jacket, lights and a crash helmet is heading for the oblong box at the speed of light.
Do you know the maximum weight for the bike Stephen? I carry panniers on mine.
Weight is 35kg. Max load is 135kg

500 watt is now the new limit, more power equals more speed, but its still a lot less than in the USA.
They can do 25mph in the States.

It doesn’t self charge, but a mid setting & speed will get more miles.

Not without a very good lock. It’s the only downfall of e-bikes, the security.
All e bikes are very expensive probably need a lot of charging of the battery

It’s a shame UK bikes are restricted to such a slow speed. My US electric assist drops off at 25 mph.
I had a feeling they could do 25mph Stateside. The last one I filmed can be unrestricted to 28mph, but not sure about this one.
Well I know mine definitely doesn’t go 15 more like 35🤣 plus another bike I’m not gonna go into. But e-bikes are the future. Getting powerful.
(And no I’m not those sur-Ron riders)
