Literally this is the video I’ve been looking for! I appreciate this video so much. I sell on eBay and Facebook. Some on what not. But want to start Facebook live selling. And this was so helpful! ❤
Thank you so much for your help! I have watched a ton of your videos. I’m wondering if you or would be able to share with us in more detail how you track inventory, keep track of finances, etc. Thank you!
So glad I found this because I have been wondering how live sales work. I just retired and I want to sell my items from my home. I already do outdoor art sales and just got a small space at the local vendor mall.
Thank you so much!! I am so glad I found your page. I wanted to do a live, but didn't know where to begin. You explained everything so clearly, I'm excited to get started because I know what to do now.
I also sell on eBay. We had a Thrift Shop for 6 years. It was fun, but a bit overwhelming for the age I am entering. Now working on building up the eBay store is not the easiest either. After their fees, somethings aren't worth the time to sell. I need to make more $$$. I thought about live sales online on FB, but needed to know the 1-2-3 way to do it. Thanks so very much!
Great video Melanie! We did several FB live sales during the height of the pandemic and had alot of success. I probably should have kept it going since I had built up momentum. Most of our pieces are furniture and the thought of shipping furniture is overwhelming! Awesome Tips !! Thanks so much!
I get it! I have never shipped a piece and the thought of it seems overwhelming to me too. Live sales were doing super well during the shutdowns, I do think they’ve slowed a bit. But they’re fun and certain customers really love them! So I do think they’re here to stay for awhile
Just found this video! New sub!!! Love the way you explained everything. Very easy to understand. I tried the RUclips live sales a few years ago and really didn’t like it. Maybe I’ll give this a whirl 😊 ps. Love your shipping ideas!
Thank you for this video! My husband and I just started a curiosity shoppe and I've been telling him this is something we need to try to reach more people. We are going to give it a shot! (Fisher's Finds Curiosity Shoppe - look out for us! LOL!)
I'd love if you showed from the first step. I mean really first step, like how to set up a fb company, how to set up the video, where the buttons are to actually do the fb live sale
That’s a great question, and I actually plan on talking about how to effectively build your social media following on next week’s video! But for now, I would say start doing live videos about other stuff regularly-while you’re out picking, or staging your booth. Get the people you have used to seeing you live!
I love all evrything som you are doing. Unic warm huming being, and your voic is like a magnit and beautiful woman. I love evrything that you pik up. Just like l have pik it my self. I old hippi and cipsy in me . Love from Iceland. 🇮🇸💞🇱🇷🙏💖
My thing I have issues with is shipping costs… I went on a village 56 group; I had to figure shipping cost each went from 8.15 to 14.50 USPS. How do you do it? Pre weigh. Yet the costs are much more to California 😂
I shoot for averages with my shipping . . . some items I may make $1 or $2, others lose $1-2. I don't have the time to preweigh everything, and you-re right, it makes a difference where it's going. I expect to lose about 5-10% in shipping cost each month, so I build that into my pricing.
The only thing about using the business PayPal account is that when you're new they hold your funds they have been holding my funds for over 3 weeks now saying that I am a new customer with no track record
You will need a FB personal account first, then you will need to start a Business Page. You can host a live sale on your business page but it will take awhile if you don’t have a following. You can do the same thing on Instagram, if that’s a platform you use, or even RUclips (but it takes a bit more work to get in contact with people who comment to purchase). But the larger your audience, the larger the pool of people who you can sell to :) Hope that helps!
QUESTION: I had a Paypal business account. But when someone sent me money Paypal would charge me a portion of what they paid. How do you absorb that cost?
Yes, they will because that's the service charge for processing the payment and allowing for the consumer protections :) Any online commercial payment or local payment using a credit card will have a 2-3% fee, businesses just absorb that as the cost of doing business.

Great great video, thanks so much!💖
If you put the box in a shipping poly bag, on pirate ship, it gets even cheaper...just choose the box in a bag option.
Thanks for passing along that tip!
Thank you for Information 👍🌹
Thank you for the information on how to charge or figure the shipping and handling.
Just found this video! New sub!!! Love the way you explained everything. Very easy to understand.
I tried the RUclips live sales a few years ago and really didn’t like it. Maybe I’ll give this a whirl 😊 ps. Love your shipping ideas!

I want to give this a try but I don't have a big FB page. How do you build an audience if you don't have a huge FB following?

But for now, I would say start doing live videos about other stuff regularly-while you’re out picking, or staging your booth. Get the people you have used to seeing you live!
your awesome! Do I create a facebook group to do this from or do i do it from my regular facebook page?
Do you ever use the live shopping feature to set up the live? Or just go live like a regular live?
I just started a FB business page. Do you have to have a certain number of followers to go live?
I love all evrything som you are doing. Unic warm huming being, and your voic is like a magnit and beautiful woman. I love evrything that you pik up. Just like l have pik it my self. I old hippi and cipsy in me . Love from Iceland. 🇮🇸💞🇱🇷🙏💖
Thanks so much Aldis 😊 I’ve never been to Iceland, how cool though that through RUclips we can connect. I bet you can find some neat treasures there!
My thing I have issues with is shipping costs… I went on a village 56 group; I had to figure shipping cost each went from 8.15 to 14.50

Yes, that can happen. It takes some time to get established
How do you record the sale
To start selling on facebook do I need to start a whole new page and pay a business fee?
A page is free :) Nothing to pay at all unless you want to run ads
I do not have a Facebook at all. Can i open one up and start a live sale or do I need followers already
