5:40 caffeine can be useful to help you get focused but it can also increase cortisol levels and therefore anxiety and jitters so if anyone is seriously thinking about taking caffeine regularly before competitive play I recommend taking a dose of about 75-100mg of L theanine. Its a naturally occurring chemical that helps calm anxiety and take the edge off stimulants. L theanine is what gives tea the much smoother feeling boost than coffee or energy drinks
Really good commentary, so good to see how a pro player is choosing which shots to play and why from an actual game. Lots of people giving online opinion of how to play every possible shot, not so much instruction on position and how that changes shot choice live.
The other thing I noticed about 17:27 is that because Will is driving from the middle of the court, he is leaving more of his side of the court open. Richard's decision to take the 4th with a backhand makes it easier to counterattack to that open court. Hitting a forehand to that side of the court would be much more difficult.
Congrats on the medal. I never miss any of your videos. I’ve learned so much from you thanks for the great content. Hope this is the first of many more medals.
I really like what you said at 1:32:30 Thats something I am working on. For me it changes my game drastically whether I thinking about to much as in trying to win the game or thinking about too much instead of me rather than just focusing on the ball infront of me and hitting it the best I can.
Hi Tanner! Congratulations, I always knew you'd grow and become a hella strong player. Super proud of you! I see you got a new paddle. I was curious about how you set up your older CRBN 1x 16mm with lead and how that setup compares with the new paddle you got. Thanks!
Thanks! The new paddle is awesome! I put the lead in the same spot.. 4 inches on the throat on either side. It is very similar to the other one, with MUCH more pop
Hi Tanner, have you ever considered doing paid video reviews/coaching? Would love to get some pointers from you on my upcoming tournaments I will be recording.
Such good commentary! You need another perspective though, try and get someone else unbiases on to do the same thing but let them lead. For example at 1hr 24mins or so there's no way you could have sped that ball up at his right hip it was too low that's why you went cross court. Keep the content going and congrats you're moving up in the pro world too!!
Tanner, thanks for these videos! Your passion and desire for improvement is contagious! Keep it up baby 💪🏽!
Thanks for the support!
Congrats 🎉 so happy for you! Only the beginning to many more medals 🏅
Thanks, I hope so!

Exactly it, glad you enjoyed this Matt! It’s awesome :)

At 1:28:22 I think Richard was positioning to try and defend an ATP.
Ahh makes sense!
Hi Tanner, have you ever considered doing paid video reviews/coaching? Would love to get some pointers from you on my upcoming tournaments I will be recording.
Great option for sure! I have thought about it, have not chose to yet, will let you know if I do!
Lfggggg! Are you supposed to color coordinate with your partner during these tournies? Or is it a preference?
For some you are, for this one they didn’t say anything!
Is this live? Looks live.
It was live!
Damn imagine this is free, good stuff tanner
Lets go!
Liking the new paddle?. Guess hopefully retail release in January..
I love this paddle! Can't wait to see it hit the market!
Good people deserve good things. Congrats!!
So nice of you, thanks man!!
Tanner, do you use a 14mm or 16mm paddle. Why?
16mm! 16 = more control, 14 = more pop. I would rather have control!
@@tanner.pickleball Thanks!
Thanks for asking that! I wondered too!
👏 👏
:)
is there a link to the regular match no commentary?
I have not been able to locate it since this… I’ve been looking I think it got taken down :(
