My husband got me a cricut maker 3 last week. I'm a 2nd grade teacher that is home for 2 weeks recovering from a minor surgery. I have had my machine for 5 days and watched a lot of videos about unboxing and setting up, plus many DIY videos. These two tutorials I watched just now have been the most helpful. (I keep buying stuff to "craft" and now my crafting room looks like an Amazon store, but I still have no idea where to start?! I subscribed immediately. Thank you for these helpful videos.

I got this with the hopes of incorporating this media in with my woodworking for signs and stencils. I also would love to learn everything there is know about stickers. Thank you for doing these.

LOVE both videos. I am a Silhouette user (since the very first machine) and got frustrated with how complicated it was getting, as well as the program not running smoothly. Soooo.... I have "switched!" Have had my Maker 3 for 2 days now and I am so excited to get started. Your videos have saved me so much time having to explore myself! Your explanations are clear and direct (I am a teacher so this is important to me)! THANK YOU!!!

Thank you so much for this video! I am a newbie and the project I want to make has 9 leaves and then 9 leaf outlines. I bet I watched 10 videos on how to do an overlay but I needed the basics first. Not one showed the detail and clarity that you did on understanding the design space. Also you speak at a pace that allowed me to grasp the content easier. The others I saw were speaking to fast. I needed that! I feel better about tackling the overlay but still hope you will do a tutorial on it. PLEASE! 💋

I so appreciate this video. Went to watch the other first, as you suggested, so I have a bit of understanding for that part.
I'd love to see a tutorial on stickers... from start to finish for a beginner. If you've already made one, please let me know. Thank You! 🥰
Some of the actions on Design Space are the same as I use in Photoshop while others... aren't. 😪 I remember learning Photoshop and feeling the same sense of "I'll never get this" as I'm having with Design Space. But after a few months I was whizzing around in that program... and I'm sure I'll eventually do the same with this one. Now that I have an understanding of where the various controls are, I'm at least able to do a little bit on the screen.
I did save a load of free pictures that I found on Design Space, but I have no idea where they got put. 🤔 I've looked all over Design Space for them to no avail. [sigh] 😮‍💨
BTW... I really appreciate that you switched to the large, red pointers. It really helps my old eyes to be able to see what you are pointing at. 😛

I have had my Cricut for a year and I am struggling to make individual word lables and I want them to be the same size and although I try and size the right and use the same font they still all come out different sizes. I have wasted so much vinyl in the process and watched so many videos and none of them really helped. Then I came across your video and it helped a lot. I subscribed. I still can't figure out how to make all the words the same size 😕
If you or someone reading the comments help that would be appreciated.

Hi, Could you do a tutorial on how to upload a purchased bag pattern onto design space and what to do if the patterns do not have the 1" box for sizing. Thank you

Hi there Liz and thanks a lot for taking the time to share your knowledge with all of us. I do have one question for you, so far, nobody was able to help. I contacted Cricut Customer Service via a form on their website, but still waiting for an answer. I got my Maker 3 a little over a year ago and I've become quite good with creating all sorts of stuff with it. At some point, I started adding materials to my favorites, especially the one I mostly use for my projects. I had like 2 rows of favorite materials, which was great. But a few months ago, after an Design Space update (don't remember exactly which one though), my favorites were gone. So I just thought this might have to do with the update and started adding materials to favorites again, but unfortunately, the system only lets me add 4 materials, I have absolutely no idea why. I tried everything I could think of, but no luck so far. The strange thing is that once I wanna add more than 4, there's some sort of red banner appearing at the top of my screen saying that "there was a problem removing favorites" ???? I'm not trying to remove anything, only wanna add materials. Hopefully you can help. Thanks in advance for at least taking the time to read this. Love from Germany, Danielle.

Hi there. I just bought the Cricut explore 3 and have listening to a few tutorials on design space so thank you for yours. The question I have is after you have finished cutting the design and cutting it out of the vinyl (materials), how can I manage the rest of the vinyl without wasting it? I hope this makes sense. thanks
