I'd been meaning to watch 'Martyrs' and 'Funny Games' for a long time, and this video made me go and buy them off eBay, at last! 'The House That Jack Built' is a great film. Included maybe should have been 'The Devils' starring Oliver Reed, and there's way to many Lars von Trier films to chose from, 'Nymphomaniac 1&2', 'Antichrist'... Great video though. :)

Thank you for commenting Steve! Of the ones I find most disturbing Martyrs and Funny Games are a couple of the best, let me know how you enjoy them! Also I've had The Devils on my watchlist for awhile now, it's all but guaranteed to be watched before I make a follow up list to this one!

Despite of the woman abuse scene in Irrelverisble..I would go the other way around..Martyrs deserves the nr. 1 spot because of how disturbing it is throughout it's entire runtime..The torture scene at the end ..I can't watch more then 1 time on how gruesome it is.

totally respect that take. Quite frankly I had a rough time with both movies. The most disturbing element of Martyrs for me was actually just the simple violence of the female prisoner before she was extremely tortured because it felt so real. I think that same reason is why Irreversible hit me the hardest. Both are supremely disturbing. Thank you for your comment and please subscribe if you haven't already!

@@TaccoMovieTalks OK I just did my friend..It is being sayd that both takes on the movies are somehow different..while Irrevesible is an emotional grapic psychological movie..Martyrs is after all a horrormovie ..

@@pkvanderzee6226 absolutely, one point that I do think could embolden the argument towards Martyrs being more disturbing is absolute existential dread your left with in the ending. It's not a movie that is easy to watch but I may just re-watch it to see where I fully stand on it
