The last half of the movie is SO heavy, my god. And THAT scene where Okko finally breaks down crying unable and alone, is such a crazy emotional scene, and Seiran Kobayashi does such an incredibly work voicing that scene, that you can't help but to feel sad for Okko too. I never expected for it to be such a nice movie and even healed me a bit too.
Watch flight of the Fire Flies from studio Gibily films Now that's a very intense film I'm a guy and I had tears running down my face and I couldn't watch the movie til the end ,I couldn't handle it You will understand why if you have kids
It really is a movie after my own heart. I lost my dad who had liver failure, went back and forth to the hospital for two years and died. The trauma also got me kicked out of a university because of low grades and walking out of class. But despite that I still work so hard for myself and other people. Im at a community college now and have a volunteer job at a medical facility. Helping other people makes me feel wonderful and much stronger which is the whole moral of the story
@@waynehewett4017 you know it’s funny you say that. My Dad told me the same exact thing. I don’t know if that’s true or not but I’m leaning more to believing him now. He always wanted me to stay strong
I remember that the first time I watched this the ending of the movie felt a little underwhelming to me with the whole "we are gonna reincarnate soon so you are not gonna be able to see us anymore" bit that wasn't really explained. Even more because this plot point didn't exist in the anime series. But after watching it again I understood that Okko's ability to see ghosts and spirits was linked to her subconscious desire to see her parents and believe they are alive. The fact that she started to lost this ability after her shopping date with the clairvoyant lady (that is both the first time in the movie where she acknowledges that her parents died and that she is deluding herself into believing they are alive to cope) confirm this. And for them to not return immediately after Okko confronts the dude that accidentally killed her parents just shows that she has finally moved one and doesn't feel lonely anymore. Still, the official explanation was that Uribo and Miyo would trascend into heaven and I wish they could have elaborated on that a Lil more. For Urino it sort of makes sense since thanks to Okko he knows that her Gradma's efforts will be preserved, but nothing for Miyo and the bell oni.
I'm so confused because I don't remember watching this film and yet when I watched this recap I remembered the whole story and the characters, so now I don't know if I'd already watched a recap of the movie and I don't remember, or if I watched the movie and I don't remember, and more importantly, why don't I remember?!
If you like animated films I recommend studio Gibily films One called flight of the Fire Flies It's a beautiful film Tho I do warn you that a box of tissues Probably will be needed Personally myself I haven't been able to watch it til the end, I couldn't handle it and I'm a guy If you have kids you will understand why I feel.this way Other films like A silence Voice The garden of Words 5 centimetres per second Your name Are worth watching Dust on RUclips It's short films made by independent film artists A science fiction film called FTL on DUST is a good one CGI brothers and Asima channels are good to Tho some are not suitable for children under 15
Another animated film called flight of the Fire Flies from studio Gibily Is well worth viewing but not suitable for under 13 years But be warned you will need a box of tissues And its a film you will only see once

Sometimes things happen for a reason, it's definitely not fair
But doesn't it make us stronger as a person ?
