- This is just a video showing that I was unable to program my transponder key to my car with only using my main key.
I had to go to a Mazda dealership and was charged 80 bucks... so try not to lose your keys.
The dealership charges a fortune for "programing" the new key. All cars are different, but some are pretty easy, you just gotta go through a bunch of hoops. With my car you need to insert the key in the ignition 2x open and close the doors 2x, turn the ignition on for like 5 seconds. Its like playing a video game. The real pain is getting the key cut. Ace hardware or Home Depot won'y do it if you buy a blank key off the internet.
$300 at dealer, 60 is a sweet deal.
I had the same problem with my Daughters Ford Focus. Yes all the youtube videos say you can do it but in the end you can't. You can program the remote to open the doors and lock the doors but reading the code and transferring it to a new transponder takes a bit more technical support. IE a key reader and writer and they are not cheap. She lost one key and we replaced it. The remote was easy but the coding cost a fortune.
Yea, its best if you have two working keys and then by a spare. Because with two working keys you are able to program them easily.
+MrSkillfullyDone Can it be 2 copied keys or it must be the 2 originals?
Can be done by two copied keys aswell. As long as they work and turn your car on you should be fine.
Thank You Sir!!
"It won't let my car start or go" 😂😂
Which transponder does this key has?
I've read you need to turn the key forward twice for 5 seconds each before trying to program the new key. Its supposed to have 2 keys, you do the first key for 5 seconds then the second key for 5 seconds, then the new key. But I wonder if you try with one key and you do the same key twice, then do the new key the third time.
I tried everything with only having one working key but couldnt figure it out. I have another vid showing how it works with two keys though,
Yes I saw that one after, done the same way I just said. Do you know if I can use 2 regular keys to program a flip key? The one for remote lock doors?
that was the question that came to my mind
Don’t you need 2 existing keys to make a 3 working
yes
I think what the problem was is you don't have 10 seconds you only have 5 seconds for the first two keys and if you had a third key that's the one that you have up to 10 seconds to insert in the ignition... if you dont insert those first 2 keys within 5 seconds it won't work
How does this help anyone. Keys are lost. Cant move the car or drive it to a dealer
What is the point of posting a video of how NOT to program a key?
I tried it and nothing happened can someone guide me how to program the keys with a computer replacement
+MrSkillfullyDone Where did you purchase your replacement key? I cant find anyone that sells a transponder key with the Mazda logo.
can not unerstand. in thd video did you work with two keys? or just one key? appreciate your explanation
+tspark1071 Had one working key which was used first then one key that was not programed.
I mean the unprogrammed key has the chip in it or not?
Ace Hardware can clone a chipped key.
If it's a 2000 - 2004 Miata they can't
Is this for real ?
WHere did you go fo 60? Dealer wants 200$
That's weird I made just a key without the chip just so I had one just to unlock incase lock key in car and hell I can start mine with it and it runs for awhile until you put it in gear
You probably had your good key with you and the chip was close enough to be detected by the car. Try again leaving your good key away from the car
@@FabianRomano1or his immobiliser is disabled... I got mine disabled when changing instrument cluster and I can start the car with any key that fits in the lock... Mazda 6
Whic car is this? Model and year please :)
2004 Mazda 3 GT Sport
You did it wrong. Your timming is off.
You forgot a step
in short...... NO you cant lol
Watch My new video to know how to actually program transponder keys!
Where did u buy the key from
Not true. I was able to program my transponder key. It was very easy. And I did not have to use a key at all.
Did you have access to a 2000 dollar laptop thats made for programming keys? Cause this video is for back yard purposes.
Get a Mazda chip key programmed for Sixty Bucks? To tell you the truth, you could've saved yourself a bunch of time and just made a 10 second video on where we all can get our Mazda key's paired with the onboard computer for $60.00, and would have probably doubled your views.
I know mine is ford and yours is Mazda so different vehicles mine worked with one Key guess I got lucky ha ha.
Trucker Joe how?

So what was the point of this video? Just say no.. it doesn't work.
Don't waste your time watching this nonsense
You take too long to get to the point.
