Route: East Coast Main Line (ECML)
    - Between Cramlington (CRM) and Morpeth (MPT) Stations
Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV)
Filming location: Clifton Lane, Clifton (NE61 6NE)
A level crossing on the East Coast Main Line between Cramlington and Morpeth found near the A1 on a very quiet road which sees more trains than road vehicles. Barrier skirts usually prevent anything from ducking under the barriers as they're lowered for on-coming trains, and very unusually for a full barrier crossing, this level crossing has none. You only usually see this kind of barrier on half-barrier crossings, but around these parts it seems as though it's a localised adaptation for very infrequent pedestrian usage / rural crossings, as a few others on the East Coast Main Line north of Newcastle in similar environments are also like this. Both alarms here are fairly new, and are quite loud for the location, and this level crossing is controlled from Morpeth, also being located reasonably close to the notorious tight railway bend there.
