As American, I find these crossings very cool. I hope to visit UK sometime. I love how the yellow light turns on then red lights start flashing and I also love the bell. Big fan of these crossings
8:32 - That gate on the right refused to go all the way down, so the gate motor kicked in again and slammed it down as hard as it could. It was like, “GET DOWN, AND STAY DOWN YOU STUPID THING!!!” And at 18:45, we get a demonstration of some special logic built into the alarms that allows them to announce if a second train is coming! 26:51 is very pretty being in the middle of a whole lot of trees! And the mechanical bells just add to the beauty!
All videos in these compilations just used the in-built microphone on my phone's camera I used to film them. It's pretty good; in-built microphones can be really decent.
I like the yellow light before the reds start flashing.

🥰 Beautiful 🥰 capture 🥰
Great video and compilation! Might see about doing something similar for 2022, but I may trim it down to the crossings I liked filming the best.
Thanks! 👍👍

It was hangman
They should keep bells on nature areas since the alarms might startle wild animals
Nice uk railroad crossing 🎉
There’s another level crossing at blakedown hartlebury and cradley heath
I've visited all of those 👍
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings28 don’t know this woods level crossing is a fake railroad 35:29 is fake

@Matilda495 it's not...
Same here 😅
44:23 i like the sound is making
8:37 Barrier be like: RAWR!
Good intro!
Thanks!
Excellent video! 37:00 That sounded like my microwave alarm XD
Thank you! Yeah that one did have quite a peculiar-sounding alarm tbh lol
15:33 I like the sound,it sounds like a clock alarm ⏰.
Amazing clips 👏👍😁
Thanks 😁
58:53 That is the highest pitched Yodalarm I’ve ever heard!
Its ture!
It is true
Fantastic video 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
At 15:33 it sounds like a fire alarm a little bit
Why in 31:07 starts when train comes ?
What is the audio device on the crossing called? In the US, we have electronic and mechanical bells
Most are just electronic alarms, either 'yodalarms' or 'Apello' alarms to give them their correct names.
Love it!
Thanks!!
6:03 it's that big and it's only a half barrier?
There’s a traffic island. Driver is unable to cross to the other side of the road, even though it’s a half barriers
Would you believe the fact it used to have no barriers 🤔🤭
I wonder, are the gate mechanisms hydraulic. Bc ours are gear and electromagnet driven
The resounding majority are hydraulic, but funnily enough there are a couple here and there that are gear driven.
39:47 Seriously?
What mic do u use mate? Sounds brilliant 😅

24:47 and 44:26 sound almost the same
They used the same alarm type on them 👍
6:07 where does that ferry go to?
Rosslare in Ireland.
I can’t believe it’s 2024 almost 2025!
🎉
Where on earth has 2024 gone???
What about london?
Videos 1 and 30 both feature crossings that are in London 👍
@@SouthEastLevelCrossingsyay
@@SouthEastLevelCrossingsand I know that some are in London because I’ve been to them
I’m a sub
What country is it?
England and Wales, UK
The one in 1:27 is my favorite one
Nice one 👍
Thanks!
Those gates are noisier than railroad crossings in the UP Springfield sub. (Most are the rare gateless cantilevered ones)
