Yer dude we caught some in the old swimming pool in Alstonville! Have them on a pond outside and they are doing well! Can look abit like mosquito fish when their young
@TheNanoNerdz yeah I went there again and got some more today I'm waiting for your next video to come out and I seen that short you made of the empire gudgeons I need to get some if they turn out like that
Good eyes! Yep Estuary Glass fish! I was shown by a subscriber after the video went up! I seen Aussie bass hitting the surface wislt I was there an assumed that's what they were!
Do you have to worry about crocs on a small creek like that? Also, do you find any invasive aquarium fish like killifish, cichlids or livebearers (guppies, platie, mollies and swordtails)? I live in the States and raise types of African and South American annual killifishes.
Lucky for us the crocodiles are about 5 hours drive up towards the top of Australia! We are right in the middle on the coast! We do unfortunately! Mostly live bearers like wild guppies and gambusia... along with swordtails and alot of carp! Mostly European carp! No killifish that I know of! I love our rocket killifish such pretty fish!
I might have missed it somewhere but are these species that are native to Australia that happen to be good aquarium fish or are they invasive species that were released by aquarium keepers?
All native Aussie fish in this video! And as you said they all make great Aquarium fish! The rainbow fish are also found in PNG also and are quite popular in the trade! Your local fish store should have some tanks dedicated to native fish! We were so surprised to find out that we had some many cool fish in our local rivers! But people still release Aquarium Fish in our rivers... we have found wild guppies aswell as Asian carp and mosquito fish
Good spot! I seen bass hitting the surface when I was there and assumed that what they were! But as you said they are glass fish! I've been told estuary glassfish? Is that the same?
Good find on the Empire gudgeon. I think the purple spotted gudgeon is towards qld
That's true! I have heard rumours that there are some pockets of them down here but I haven't had any luck yet!
can you please tell where you are and the name of the creek
It's in the middle of goonellabah in NSW! It's a run off from the tucki tucki creek on Dudley drive!
The only access is the footpath in the video!
Have you ever caught smelt

Not Bass. They are glass fish
Yes sir good eyes! Estuary glass fish!
So if they are non native fish why are they going back in ?
I think there was 1 mosquito fish that I missed that went back in sadly... but all the other fish are native which is awesome to see!
Taking them makes no difference. Once the invasive species is entrenched it's pretty much part of the environment. Especially true with live-bearers.
Love from kerala ❤️
Thankyou so much!
