Seeing you guys in Texas with Fit!! Super pumped to finally see Sylosis live. I can’t wait🤘
Hell yes 🤝🏻
i forgot there was grooves that came with UHD! Love it so much, ive written like 10 new jams since i bought it! 💙🤘
Love your stuff man! Just wanted to give feedback on the thumbnail. Couldn't connect the live-pics with the headline right in the first seconds. Would have expected a real DAW-Screenshot of the Drum-Plugin + your sitting down-streaming view.60/40. like in your 'Ultimate Heavy Drums' - What a response! 1 week in + 'Behind The Scenes' Thumbnail. kind of that thing.
Love you man, all the best. Maybe way more thought went into your decision. I don't want to be disrespectful. Want you to succeed!
Josh - PLEASE do a Testament recreation! You’re masterful at recreated sounds and nobody has ever done it the way that you do.
Will do
@@JoshMiddletonOfficial ill second roger's comment. Formation of damnation. Exodus exhibit a style would fit right in too.
Very COOL 🎸🎸🎸🎸Josh🎸🎸🎸🎸
👍😁🇧🇷
Love these walkthroughs - so, so insightful and inspiring. Keep ém coming. Question regarding your IRs, Josh - I got your STL Plugin. How would you say do the IRs from your additional pack compare to the speakers captured inside the plugin? Just different flavours so i´d add more variety when getting those on top? Just wondering as I feel in the few latest mix walkthroughs you were leaning more towards those IRs from the pack
Man your riffage is like receiving holy water! We are not worthy, we are not worthy! lol
Hey Josh, can you go over the details on the final processing for these mixes with your drum plugin? I know you don't process drums any further, but curious what your mastering and/or instrument busses look like.
No drum processing at all. Everything is done within the plugin. I dont like heavy handed master bus processing. I do gentle compression, Faltline then Pro-L for more volume
@@JoshMiddletonOfficial Awesome, thanks!

I just put up my top 10 drum plugins of 2024! Hint hint which one got number 1. 🤨😏🤘🤘
hey mate, love your work. When your just jamming do you tend to use the STL JM pack presets or something similiar, or create something new? cheers from brisbane
waiting black friday :)
There was an error when setting up the pricing which means it’s essentially permanently on sale until I run out of the initial licenses I’ve paid for from Native Instruments
Would like you to collaborate with Dunn. You both do very similar things on FB and YT.
I’m new to this. Are you using existing drum tracks from your software and writing over the top of that. Or actually recording yourself laying these drums down on a kit through your plugin?
I programmed in the drums for this one. Then included that MIDI as a groove within the grooves section
Hey Josh! Do you quantize your guitar tracks?
Never. That doesn't mean sometimes I don't make edits. But in terms of trying to grid all your alternate picking, even if I'm recording a guitarist that isn't super tight, it just sounds too fake and lifeless for me
Josh please answer. How do you record your guitar DI's? Which audio interface and do you also use a preamp
Focusrite clarett. Dont get hung up on that kind of thing. Preamp for DI makes barely any difference (unless you have a preamp that saturates or EQs - which I would ALWAYS avoid doing to a DI track)
just wondering how much closer are the second guitars? like 90%?
Yeah 80-90 usually
Have you ever gone over your mastering chain for these sessions?
I dont know why he dont Show the Instrument Bus or master Bus because this is important too to get that guitar and drum Sound
@@markusst4508yeah it would be good to see what he does tbh
I would also love to see that
@@markusst4508I wouldnt say its that important for the guitars or drums. I’ll show it in future. It’s basically no EQ, mild compression, Flatline clipper and Pro-L for more volume. Super simple
he did show it on the davidian vid i think
You should do a paid online mix courses
